Something that has always bugged me about points

Why is it that you barely get any points for soloing gens?

I feel like this question should be directed to Survivor points in general.

You kinda get ######### over doing your objectives quickly because you can't get Altruism points. Or you can't get Boldness if you don't have a chaser playstyle. Or you can't get Survival if you don't bring a medkit or a perk like Self-Care. Or you can't get Objective points if you're constantly in chase with the Killer.

Yes, fixing gens ends up giving you way less points than doing other easier things. For example, you destroy a totem in a few seconds and get 1000 BP, but it takes way more time to fix a gen and you only get 1250 BP. And if the killer is not even chasing you, there will be a point where you probably will get max points for fixing and then you will keep fixing without getting any extra points, which also sucks...

Not really. If anything it encourages rushing gens to make sure you get some points.

Yeah it's almost impossible to get 32k points as survivor but not that hard as killer. As a survivor there's no way you can run the killer for a long time, do a lot of gens, and get a lot of unhooks/heals. Not with 3 other teammates doing the objectives while you run the killer.
