It's really weird when you read a story of some character and then Archives just showing this one in other way, like Yui have really nice story, just she loves do what she want, but she had good connection with grandma and then in Archives you see her like a woman who is really focused on win.

That's kinda two personalities in one person.

Same with Dwight - story: scared guy, who just want to be accepted - archives: office superman who want to punish his boss about being a bastard, but then Dwight is kinda going that way too.

Ace - funny gambler, then fighting gambler.

Kate - in story is like a really amateur guitarist girl, who love play guitar (probably we all know that person, so we know that she or he will never go in POP music way) - then we have a story where Kate is kinda like Lady Gaga :D just #########

Only Jane story is connected and it's shows her real character, that was good job.

Others are kinda separated.

I don't think the issues here are as bad as you think they are.

Dwight spends almost his entire story being terrified and only tries to do something once he's put under high pressure, gaining a kind of surreal confidence before reverting back to his timid self. Fits his Archive to a T.

With Ace there isn't really a conflict at all especially because his bio is so short, but it's established that he's a gambler who 1. Is prone to making enemies and 2. Risks a lot of money frequently and despite losing tons of it often, still makes it through despite all odds. Goes with his Archive pretty well.

Kate I'm not even sure where you're getting this from, her Archive barely mentions her career. In her bio it makes it pretty clear she was popular as a career musician and her Perks all imply that too, she just wasn't a superstar and mostly avoided going that route.

If we wanna talk about Archives/Biography disconnection or character assassination, hoo boy, the Killers are the kings and queens of that camp. (most notably, Nurse and Legion)

Duality is the reality of this world.

They are written as human beings and not the perfect Mary Sue just cause they are the 'good guys'. It was stated that none of the survivors were supposed to be truly good people. Survivors were all meant to be flawed in some way or the other, they are not that innocent.
