R.P.D is a terrible map
the map is too big, too claustrophobic, gens are spread way to far, pallets are either god pallets or the most unsafe pallets ever, door spawns are weird and it’s terrible for both sides
billy can’t even sprint longer then 5 seconds, blight can’t get threw doorways, trapper has not many options, nurse might not be the worse but it won’t be fun, maps too big for hag ect
the map sucks.

Survivors hit struggle every 1st hook because most solo teammates get lost in the size or awful layout.

One killer that seems to shine on there is demo. Long, thin corridors and the portals mean you don't have to bother navigating the maze as much.

I've seen on another thread that it's a near replica of the map in the re remake, but... damn...
Y'know, by all means, as much as people hate midwich, out of the licensed maps it it at least the most navigable.
Licensed chapter really have this curse of 'faithful but impractical' going

After Midwich, Hawkins, the new version of The Game, I didn't think we could sink to a new low for horrific DbD map designs...
...oh how wrong we were.

I think in time it will become a survivor meta map.
Not just because of its size but because of its unwavering consistency. Every room looks unique and unlike Hawkins or Midwich it would be difficult to get lost by confusing one room for another.
The gates are miles apart and the ability to climb floors is a luxury most killers don't find access to, so doing gens won't be an issue.
I think in time survivors will learn the map and never lose on it.

Map is good lol

Like every licensed map it’s terrible. Only resident evil fans like it tbh

I don't really care I just want more indoor maps. We have like 30+ outdoor maps and now finally a 5th indoor map.
I really hope we'll eventually get an indoor map (or rework existing one) into 5 different variants (like Badham) so that it's more evened out.
Balance is important of course but I hate the fact that outdoor maps are so extremely favored compared to indoor maps. I love the the different kind of feeling indoor maps have and the varitety they bring so even if they're unbalanced mess sometimes, I just love playing on them which overshadows the imbalance for me (at least temporarily).

I'm a Resident Evil fan and I think that map sucks. Aesthetically it's great, but gameplay wise it's horrible.
To be honest, they should have went with the outskirts of Spencer Mansion, The Village from either 4 or 8, or The Baker Estate. At least those are partly outdoor.

They will have to make this map a lot smaller it's super bad. Will they ever learn?

I am sure people will get good with this map. Map is big and this will be problem for some killers, who has not map mobility. But for others, map is fine.

I think you are the first person I've ever seen that liked the indoor maps.

What's not to like, they are unfavorable for your average meta mobility or strong chase killers and favor stealth killers insted.
Survivors on the other hand have to deal with more difficult gen spots, deceptive TR and so on.
They have vastly different gameplay compared to 80% of your matches that happen on outdoor maps. I enjoy varitety so playing on outdoor maps just gets more and more boring after 5 years when there's hardly any indoor maps.

Blight power is useless. Nurse has to be god tier to guess where survivors are and on which layout she can TP. Trickster, Slinger and Huntress : good luck.
In short, cool map. But not optimized to play seriously. The new haddonfield was born.

I'd say around 80% of the pallets there are unsafe AF, there's only like 2 good pallets and that's it.

I dislike the maze like nature of them.

You don't need safe pallets if the killer can be three feet away and still needs to walk the maze for a minute to get to you.

You do, some killers struggle like huntress but that's normal with killers like huntress in an indoor map.

Huntress, Oni, Billy, Trickster, Deathslinger, basically any killer that needs a LoS for his power and/or is slower than usual.
I would add Demogorgon here but his portals give him a big advantage.
