Did anyone else get the "Not the bees" reference in the dev screen?
Uhh... so probably just a really really weird coincidence, but I feel like the stars are starting to align...
So, in April, Tony Todd the voice actor for Candyman, had an interview and he mentioned briefly about Candyman being in a game, but he couldn't say anything more.
Then the next chapter teaser is scheduled in August or damn near close. Which... the 2021 Candyman movie is scheduled to be released in September.
Then there's the German Easter Egg. I have never gotten this in the English format, maybe I'm just really unlucky, but it seems to show up when German is selected.
"Oh nein! Nicht die Bienen! nicht die Bienen!" Thats German (as I'm from Germany and my game is on german xD) and basically means "Oh no! Not the bees! Not the Bees!" A direct quote from the founder of this Easter Egg, their name is Jule.
I've also been getting hit with waves of Candyman clips and stuff on YouTube (that's definitely just a coincidence) but, watching these sparked a new appreciation for the original movie, it's definitely contending with Friday.
If we're just being teased and it's not happening I will cry

If we ever do get Candyman, I so hope it's the Tony Todd version, because with a new movie coming out it's very likely we'd get the new version, just like with Freddy.I need me my Tony Todd. His appearance in Hatchet had me rolling.Oh, and I've gotten the "Not the bees!" quote in English, so it's not just in the German version. The RNG of the quotes has me seeing some constantly and others hardly ever.
