Bubba's chainsaw is occasionally silent

Platform: PC (Steam).
Issue: Bubba's chainsaw sometimes cannot be heard by one survivor while it's revving. Bubba does not have any add-ons to this effect, as other survivors can hear it just fine. It appears to be an issue when the survivor in question is the Obsession, but I can't be 100% sure.
Steps to reproduce: Just have Bubba rev his chainsaw and see if the survivors hear it.
How often does this occur: Unclear, but it appears to be inconsistent.

It happens in some cases and it's really unfortunate in chase, when there's no sound, you're ready for M1 but from corner here's bubba with his chainsaw already ready and you're dead.
