What kind of advantages does every degree of Devotion give?

Nothing
Your level will be reset, and you can start grinding for more shards again, the only difference is that there is a small 1 now under your player lvl

No extra iridescent shards? When you prestige a character, you become more lucky with their bloodweb...
0 -
So is that description false? What's the meaning of a false reward? They should give a benefit for grinding...
1 -
Without rewards, what's the meaning of Devotion?
0 -
Exactly that.. a measurement of how devoted you are to playing. There are already people with level 5 Devotion and it's a number to brag about if you're into that kind of thing.

A continous grind for nothing, so awesome !6 -
Nothing, its a joke and has even LESS meaning than rank

Thats not true. When you prestige it specifically says you have a higher chance of getting more rare items on the bloodweb. Exact values no one knows and some struggle to notice a difference. I for one feel like i have noticed a slight difference in all of my bloodwebs since i usually see more purple and green items.

They've told us the percentage increase, if that means anything. Each prestige increase is 3% increase... of something

Masking tape might be useful here.

The way the ultra rare addons work is that it will either be 0 or 1. With no prestige, you will trigger that "saved" spot about 30% of the time. P3 roughly doubles that so if you're going to play a lot and ultra rares are important to you, then you should definitely P3.

Longer ques for matchmaking..

You get a little 1 next to the number.2

It gives you same reward as reaching rank 1 every month just as devs promised.

I made out an elaborate post weeks ago about this.
I'll "briefly" go into it here.
Devotion should be rewarded. It should be 500 shards at least, or to be frank about it... 1,000 shards.
Hitting 100 levels should be at least 500 shards. Getting to it, and just getting 300 is underwhelming greatly. They could even have rewards behind certain devotion levels. They are missing out on some neat things they can have. I'm almost devotion level 2 (200 levels) and I know all I'm getting for all that is another 300 shards, then repeat...
sucks.
They should do a weekend trimester event where shards are 1.5 or something. Or double.
Or.... for every devotion level you have... you add 10 more shards to the total going forward. Something needs to give.

Quit spreading false information. It does increase better items in the web.
1800 hours with all survivors prestige 3 + Wraith and Pig. Dont try to tell me otherwise. The devs even said it on stream. Its like ~1%

Prestiging your character does nothing to your bloodweb, trust me.

Yes... You would think getting more levels in Devotion which shows how devoted you are, would gain you some kind of reward, whether it be special cosmetics, or extra blood points and shards.
But nope.

1% is still an increase.
So, your point is?

1% doesn't mean anything without context. What is a 1% difference?t There are 5 rarities.

The ability to keep earning shards after you hit level 100

It was on one of there streams. You care more than I do, I say you find that specific stream if you really care. Otheewise ask Docoktober, he made the Wiki for this game and has most of it's information... Good luck asking him nicely though.0 -
@not_Queen @Patricia Should it be possible to give the players extra Iridescent Shards to reward their Devotion?
1 -
Any news?

I don't think shards are the answer. That is a business issue there. If they award more shards, they have to raise prices in order to equal out the ratio of shards vs auric being spent. Basic rule of economics.
Perhaps devotion allows you to reset the blood web one time per 1-50 per devotion level in order to get different perks on it. Example: I am choosing between Dark Whispers and Enduring at lvl 43 and for whatever reason, I don't want either. I have 1 level of devotion, so I reset that choice and get two different perks on that lvl. I can't do it again on that character until I prestige him. I can do this once each character for each devotion level.
Or, give a 10% discount on certain choices in the blood web for each level of devotion. Maybe it is only for offerings, or addons, or perks.
Anything like that would have a feeling of reward.

@Warlock_2020 Whatever fair reward is fine for me.
0 -
Is it true when you get a devotion level you loose all current iridescent shards? Read it somewhere..0
-
@MasonHugsCats No, you save the Iridescent Shards.

@Entità Thanks, I was worried. Im in level 90s somewhere and I am about two thousand away from spirit.0

The discount thing could work but the other one not because of people like me who have almost all perks on all survivors, it just wouldn't be fair. Discounts on the bloodweb are cool but also not really that beneficial to people who already got everyone levelled.
Increasing the amount of shards earned per devotion or awarding a small amount of auric cells upon devoting would make a lot more sense. The numbers wouldn't have to be huge to feel rewarding or bringing anything out of balance. Afterall, shards can be used to purchase perks/bloodpoints and DLC characters in the shrine too and who says there aren't going to be more things shards can be used for in the future?0 -
Any news? I understand that significantly increasing the Iridescent Shards obtained according to the level of Devotion could harm the business of the developers, but that little green number must have something more than a merely aesthetic role. Choose freely the reward you find more equitable, but give a small sign of gratitude to those who dedicate hundreds, thousands of hours to this game, please.

If they dont want to give us a good amount of Iridiscent Shard when get one devotion they could at least give us a permanent 10-15% more BP bonus per devotion, it would be nice IMO, and wouldn't affect their profits.
1 -
Every devotion point= 100 auric cells? Seems legit for me
(Im devotion 5 btw )0 -
Either grant 5% more shards earned per Devotion level, or grant a 5% discount on the store per Devotion level.0
