The idea of Killer Iridescent add-ons

Hello, I started playing DBD in last August and have ~950 hours in the game.

I noticed that Iridescent add-ons on killers wary from one's which change gameplay as and against killer's power and ones that just add status effects like Exposed and Undetectable.

And I think the first kind is the best one and killers feel very different with them.

As example Shape, Trapper, Pig, Nurse, Cannibal and Wraith- both their Iridescent add-ons change their gameplay and your mentality.

And Trickster's Death Throes Compilation is one of them:

  • Laceration caused by Blades is based on proximity to the target, starting at a minimum of 200%.
  • Each Blade hit increases the Laceration caused by Blades to a maximum of 200%.
  • Once a Blade misses, the Laceration caused by Blades is reset to its initial value.

This add-on requres you to stop being a machine gun and start aiming your shots. It's not that strong but it requires you to change your gameplay.

I made this post to ask you for interesting ideas for Iridescent Add-ons like this but for others killers we have for example:

The Twins

Iridescent Pendant

  • Victor now moves at 4.8 m/s.
  • When Victor clutches at Healthy survivor they take damage.
  • If survivor does not remove Victor from them in the next 30 seconds they will be downed.

Now I changed an add-on that makes survivor exposed for 20 seconds after kicking Victor in his idle position into something much more interesting.

Basically Victor moves slower bus survivors can't keep him to themselves.

So share your ideas in the comments and give an opinion on my idea.

    The Death Throes Compilation will be changed (most likely) with the Mid-Chapter Patch:

    • "Death Throes Compilation: When Main Event ends, The Trickster's knives are replenished."


    To your Twins-proposal:

    This is not a healthy Add On. Yes, Victor is slower, however, if you chase a Survivor with Charlotte, they will go down, no matter what. Either Charlotte hits them or Victor downs them. This is a Lose/Lose-Situation, those should not happen.


    In general, I prefer weakish Iridescent Add Ons. Some Iridescent Add Ons are or were too strong, but I rather have a strong Killer and weaker Add Ons than the other way around (e.g. I dont mind Nemesis Iri Add Ons, they are terrible, however, Nemesis itself is solid).

    But obviously, some Iri Add Ons can be looked at, because they are shockingly bad.

    To my idea can be added something like - Timer stops while inside the Terror Radius.

    And this post is not about making weaker iri add-ons stronger, but making them more interesting and gameplay changing.

    cool idea. doesn't tip the balances off or anything, just adds a bit of "what if" type thing that makes the games a bit more fun for the killer running them.

    Exactly, and that's what I think Iridescent's supposed to do. Like infinite T3 Myers with Tombstone is very fun if you can pull it off.
