Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

My fellow killer mains

Do Ace players also make you unnerved? For me they're such wild cards, everytime I run into them they act so weird. They run the weirdest perks and somehow it always work.

I ran into an Ace that hit me with SOUL GUARD. I never see that perk being run anytime, it just completely broke me because I wasn't prepared for that. Then I look at their perks...

Soul Guard

Fast Track

Second Wind

And Flip-flop

I got so confused at his build, he's a legend.

But, do you also run into wild card survivors?

Nah, Ace players aren't usually wild cards. Moreso they're normally really, really good at the game. Like, scarily good.

Then there's the occasional child you get to bully but yeah, I'm terrified of Ace mains.

Ace mains are good but are more prone to run random perks.

For me, it's Quentin. Or well, half of them.

It's the weirdest anecdotal experience I've ever had in a game, but every time a Quentin shows up in my lobby the Entity flips a coin or something. If tails, they're lost and confused. If heads, they're some of the hardest to deal with players out there. And part of that is exactly because they have unusual perks that catch me off guard.

Anything resembling an "average Quentin" almost seems like an endangered if not mythical creature in my personal experience. Maybe that will change once his face update goes live 😄

I'm not a Killer main, but yeah, I know what you mean. It might be that we're so used to the 'META' builds(I actually call it 'POLR', for 'Path Of Least Resistance'), that anything else tends to throw us for a loop.

In my experience, Ace mains were a little bit more common in the past, but nowadays they are rare and elusive.

They are usually good at the game, despite their unorthodox builds.

From my experience they tend to be the most toxic players. If they have a flashlight, 90% of the time they'll click it all the time and send you "EZ" after the game ends regardless of the result. Before the DS nerf all of them would run it with UB and chase you after being unhooked.

They definitely bring some spontaneity to any given match.

I run into wild card survivors all the time. Using stuff like Lightweight, Premonition, Self-care, Urban Evasion, etc.

And for whatever reason YOU CANNOT HIT THEM. Auto-aim always makes you miss an Ace. Also I noticed that hackers tend to use Ace, and or Jeff Johansen. I’ve seen the wildest **** against Aces. One time an Ace’s face went all the way up to my screen, made a grin, and when I looked around he was suddenly upstairs slow vaulting in the Saloon. As if he teleported. In the same match I shot him WAY before he reached his vault (He screamed and everything). After 2 seconds of being shot HE COULD STILL MOVE UNTIL HE VAULTED OVER, and then he broke free from the harpoon! I was leveling Deathslinger at the time right when cross play started. So I realized the ghost stories about hackers are true, and happens more often than we think!

I fought a cheating Jeff last night in Haddon. During the death hook he was saved, and used “sprint burst” around every single spot that broke line of sight until he was all the way across the street. Thinking ai wouldn’t notice the sudden burst of speed because he kept turning and what not. No way he got that far that fast even with slow grass Trickster. I chose to let the slugged Feng go. I tunnel him immediately at end game collapse, and I made him D/C. Serves him right.

NGL.... at first glance of those perk names I have no idea ######### they do except for flip flop.....

So.....yeah I'd prolly get confused and lose to random paranormal strange events due to those perks.

On the rare occasions that I face a ace they usually outplay me by doing that spinning trick to escape my fov and escape the chases 85% of the time honestly aces and bills will always get the hatch from me because I respect most of the players that use them

My solo survivor Jake use to run Fixated, Pharmacy, Premonition, and Sprint Burst. Mega immersed build. I would ghost killers throughout the trials, and get through the hatch if it spawned. If not I was the last to die. I remember one time I dodged a GF all match even though I kept grabbing his attention by looking at him, but never exposing. Wasting his time. I was the GF 😂. With the last gen me and a kate doubled on it. She took the hit, and moved. I got greedy and stayed. Finished the gen. She healed with Adrenaline, and when he tried to hit me I dodged his second swing with Sprint Burst. He looked at me for like 5 seconds and started to tunnel.

As toxic and buggy as DBD can be it creates all kinds of wholesome times and memories with friends and enemies alike. Some memories are laughs, and others are cries. Some are salt. (Once a ****ing ZOMBIE positioned itself outside the locker I was hiding in, and immediately downed me after I used Head On on a Nemesis). It was just out of reach of the stun, but was able to hit. I was soooo mad. It sat there WHOLE time as Nemesis searched around first before deciding to check the locker. I stopped playing for a couple of days. 😭

Ace has nothing to offer perk wise...

But remember the saying: Beware the man with nothing left to lose.

Or in ace's case he never had anything to lose and everything to gain!

I love Ace mains. Most of them are good at game.
