The low rates of RPD make the map worse

RPD is probably the most confusing map in the game and players need time to learn it.

Disabling offerings and giving it a low pickrate just makes it worse because all three games I've got it I'm just like what the heck is going on.

I want to learn the map (even if it is badly balanced)

As someone that played RE2, I feel like I have an incredible advantage since I now it by memory and Killers always lose me across the different levels and vaults. It does feel like a maze, I will agree with people in that sense... because even for me while I was playing RE2 I was genuinely confused.

Anyway, the day the Chapter was released I got it like 4 or 5 times until it was deactivated... I hadn't gotten it ever since. I feel its rate should be raised since they fixed most of the issues already and we are in the middle of the Anniversary event.

I've only played on it as survivor, but I've played on it 3 times. I'm starting to figure it out slowly, although I haven't found the library yet.

I mean to learn the map you kinda need to play RE2, as someone who has played it I have no issues with it, except with small changes like the drop on the shower room or vaults where there were no vault or anything like that.

Not really. Whenever I list the massive issues with that map, I tend to leave out it's confusing layout unless someone else brought it up.

I'm glad its low. The map is too big.

IMO If they have it in the rotation then the offerings should be enabled....I really want to play on this map more.

Yep, like I'm glad it's extremely rare to get the map, but we don't even get the chance to learn it, and now the map offering is disabled (permanently, or?).

I really don't like that map, way too many safe pallets, way too many gens you need to go all the way around just to get to

Hopefully the offerings stay disabled permenantly

The attention to detail is amazing, but the Resident Evil 2 remake map design makes for a very poor multiplayer map. I've played quite a few matches during the event, and it's astounding to think that I still haven't played on it yet. What's even worse is knowing the Resident Evil chapter has been out for a month, and the map still can't be played on through a regular basis.

The very first time I was on RPD, I was playing Killer. I hooked three people... When I hooked the third one, I noticed the two others were still hooked... I was like: WTH, no one went to save them? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Then I played it as a Survivor. And I understood the reason no one saved: it is such a maze. As a Killer, I didn't see how hard it was to navigate the map. Maybe because I found the Survivor easily and I just had to follow them.

But as a Survivor, I saw how confusing it is. I tried to save someone who was hooked on what I think was the roof... I never was able to find the stairs to go there. And as no one came for the save, I guess others were like me.

When I was hooked, I was lucky enough to have someone on the room next to me.

The map looks awesome. But ***, I have orientation issues. I thought the other indoor maps were already confusing... (Yes, I'm easily lost.)

I really need to navigate it more.

The map is actually worse because the killer can easily bodyblock doorways to force survivors to potentially go half way around the map to get to the unblocked side at some hooks.

An example is ones near stair ways on the 2nd floor as forcing survivors to run from one stairway up to the other by body blocking the closest stairway door. This can easily cause the hooked to lose a hook state because of how long the run around is.

So this is one of the most exploitable maps by killers by virtue of its labyrinth like layout.

Ps. I found that out on my first game on said map! Just imagine what will be found after a month of two.

I love the map. Could be because I'm a huge RE fan and RE2 is my favorite game by far. 😜

First time playing on it and it looks sooo good!

Considering the stability issues the map may still have, upping the chances of getting it may not be the best of ideas just yet.

From what I know the pick rate it's normal since the last week, played twice last Tuesday and my friends get the map almost every single day.

I pray you never get it. I got it twice and it was miserable. I’ve decided that from now on, I’m going to just afk every time I get it.

    What's the RPD map?

...seriously, what is it? I played dbd for multiple days when the Resi Evil chapter dropped, and I've been playing daily during the anniversary event, and I've never gotten this map. Not once.

I'm starting to think you all are mass hallucinating or something, and the RPD map isn't actually real.

Just a reminder to everyone that this map still causes performance issues for many console players. I'm sure a lot of us want to play on it more often but if the devs have to make the choice between letting players go to the new map or try to reduce crashes, reducing crashes is the best way to go.

you are aware why they did that though, right?

if you dont have any FPS issues and want to learn the map, i'd suggest you go grab a friend or two and play custom games on it until you understood its layout.

personally, im tempted to just keep my current strategy of DCing whenever i see it.
