How do Maps work with Detective's Hunch perk?

Running Detective's Hunch Perk, if you use the Green Map with no addons, does it tracks gens, totems and chests if you are within range (8 meters)??

Does the Rainbow Map track everything - gens, totems, chests, killers belongings, exit gate, hatch?

How does the Rainbow Map work with Detective's Hunch??

Sorry I would test it more but every time I bring a Map, the Killer brings Franklin's and knocks it off my hand.

    Everything revealed by Detective's Hunch is added to the map.

    Add-ons aren't necessary for this to work.

    When a gen is finished and you have a map and Detective's Hunch the map tracks everything it can. So anything within a 64 meter range that the map you are using can track will be tracked.

    Does that mean that if you are running Detective hunch with a map, the map can read out to a 64 meter radius??

    Also, does Rainbow Maps track everything? The Wiki states it starts the match with 3 random objects tracked, which leads to my confusion.

    Regarding your question about the rainbow map starting with 3 objects tracked at the beginning of a trial.. the answer is yes, essentially any 3 things will be tracked… an exit gate lever, a totem on the other side of the world, a gen, chest etc. Then as long as you’ve been within 8m of an object/killer belonging you can leave it and reveal the aura again later. So if you’re on Lery’s and spot a lit totem that might be haunted grounds you can leave it if it ends up being devour or something else without having to worry about getting lost trying to find it again.

    Any object revealed by Detective's Hunch will be tracked by either map, even if they can't normally track them with or without add-ons.

    So to answer your question: the green map will track all gens, totems and chests revealed by the perk, even without add-ons.
