Dead hard is overrated.

Dead hard is overrated for the majority of the people who play this game. Because lets be honest sprint burst is the superior exhaustion perk for the majority of the player base, since the perk can't even be used by last gen consoles users and the majority of the players don't even use right. Also there is nothing worse then getting close to a survivor only to spring bust away. Any way dead hard can really only be used one time, since once you know the person has dead hard you can be bait it next time. And dead hard cannot save you from some killers such as bubba. So easily the most overrated perk that really only competitive sweaty users can use it in a way that matters, but most of us won't use it to that extent. But this is what I feel when people want to have it nerfed.

It's what is always going to be a problem with the perk. Against an average survivor, the perk might not matter all that much. It'll save them a few seconds, maybe an extra loop if they really time it right

But against a Red Rank Survivor who REALLY knows what they're doing, the perk can be downright devastating. I've gone against survivors who have essentially gotten an extra 30+ seconds from it because I FINALLY almost had them in my grasp only for them to DH their way to the next pallet, drop it, and then hope into the next loop again.

The biggest problem is going to be finding a way to nerf that part without downright killing the perk and to be honest, I'm not sure there is a way to do that. There are ALWAYS going to be survivors who know every little trick to maximize perks. DH just happens to be an easy target for killer rage since unlike the other exhaustion perks, you can just DH whenever you feel like it so there's no real need to worry about setting it up properly.

I mean Dead Hard is used for more than just a dodge, mainly making distance to a pallet that you would have otherwise gotten downed instead.

But i do agree its overrated.

I'm not an average survivor, and I still think the perk is the most overrated perk. But we know that in most public matches most survivors won't use it like that. And the perk can't save you from certain killers, mainly one hitters. Also I don't know what they want to nerf, the immunity it gives you, or the distance part which is the point exhaustion perks. But I'm sure they will nerf dead hard and most survivors will use sprint burst, which is going to be the next perk that will want to get nerfed since everyone will run it.

I’m a very mediocre player, and I mostly use it as a quick “get to the next pallet” or “get out of the range of the next hit” burst. It’s fine, but I don’t see myself running it all the time.

Spoken like someone who has no idea what they are talking about. Dead Hard isn't just the best survivor perk, it's the best perk in the game period, if you are using it to dodge a hit then you are dumb and have no idea how to use it, if you use it for what it is best at (a THIRD HEALTH STATE EVERY CHASE) then you would understand why it is broken beyond belief and needs a total rework.

Have fun "baiting" my Dead Hard when I use it for distance and safely make it to that god pallet and now it's another 30s just for you to catch up to me. :)

its for sure overrated, i never use it cause half the time im exhausted on the ground. But its not a matter of "knowing they have it so bait it out" its more like theres nothing you can do if they DH to a pallet or window, you cant bait that out. using it out in the open saves them 3 seconds

Because DH only really shines in certain situations.

Not really I'm speaking for the majority of survivors. I know that the sweats in this game use it at the right moments in tiles to drop pallets etc. But since it's the second most used survivor perk according to their stats, yet still the perk fails for majority of survivors because when I play killer most DH into a wall or nothing. But you can still bait it if you get those survivors out positioned. Which is why I still think spring burst is the best exhaustion perk since it actually can be effectively used by most survivors. I don't rely on dead hard myself.

Precisely my point, dead hard will probably get nerfed like BL. Then they will want sprint burst to get nerfed XD

Only the real sweaty survivor make the perk look good which is less then 10% of the survivor users.

You aren't the majority and you don't speak for anyone but yourself.

Spoken like somebody who truly doesnt use every perk in the game. Dead hard is useless compared to a lot of perks. Hell truly good killers aren’t even affected by dead hard. I hope the devs do nerf dead hard so survivors switch to better perks and killers can find something else to cry over
