There is a fun aspect to Hag people don’t realize
While there Is many criticism to Hag in general. There is a fun aspect that people don’t realize. She works with a lot of perks. And isn’t tied to anyone set of perks like say Trapper. Many perks that wouldn’t work with anyone else works with Hag great. Franklins works well, MYC is hard to use on others but good on her, Hysteria or Third Seal any perks that need rapid hits works with her. Also, the standard Gen defense if you’re the one who treats every game like a depip squad. So that’s an aspect of Hag people don’t realize she can use many perks and still win.

That aspect is what made me stick with Wraith when he was the community punching bag. He's got a lot of useful and interesting addons too(rip ghost soot, what a legendary brown addon to make demo jealous)

"Functional" does not equal "Fun"
Most players, with a majority of survivor players, dislike hag because of her traps and her camping/tunneling potential.
The idea of a defensive killer implies defending a point, whatever that point may be, so her ability to efficiently shut down areas with little to no effort, mixed with the lack of ways to disarm her traps, added on with the ability to instantly travel to that location when a trap is triggered, plus the ability to take away movement options, makes her a regular in discussions of "this is an unhealthy killer"
Most players don't care what perks you're using when they hate the killer fundamentally.

Third Seal-Undying for the extra salt

Ohoho, MYC isn't hard on everyone else.
I'm really falling in love with MYC on Wraith.
Okay, okay: Maaaaaaaybe not on the same level as Hag, but still GOD DAYUM!

MYC on Hag is sweet.
Very sweet.

Ability for a survivor to draw a smiley face in the Hag's triangle to disable it when?

The only thing good about Hag is the jump scares. Sometimes, it really gets me.

Add Knockout to Third Seal + Undying + MYC and oof what a salt mine.

One idea I've toyed with but not really tested is Mint Rag + Trail of Torment. Smack a gen, go undetectable, then teleport somewhere else entirely.
Don't know how practical it'd be but it's seemed life a fun idea.

She is very strong against weak and casual survivors. There is not much hags around, so survivors feel annoyed and helpless against hag. But good survivors know how to deal with her without flashlight. You just need to destroy her web by running while she is busy chasing far away or carrying survivor. She is slow killer and she needs to set up at start and during the game.
I definitely have more easier games when I play as hag because she is less reliant on maps and most survivors don't know how to play against her. But I feel helpless against actually good survivors that destroying my web and leave me without power. Yes, she can camp without camping, but it doesn't matter when her web is destroyed.
She is good killer with unique power and unique counterplay.

Fully justified and completely unbalanced salt. May as well say "Haddonfield offerring with a full party for extra salt".

I played against the "extremely hard" Hag yesterday and that's where I said I'd rather vs 10 Spirits in a row rather than Hag. At least against Spirit you can try something and you get a chase.
Against Hag.. whops, walked a bit to far? Well, get downed and camped in the basement with 7 Traps around it.
And to get back to her simpleness, she isn't hard at all. Not sure where that comes from. Just place Traps at choke points and spam your ability button or how the "extremely skillful" Hag players do, they go into options and change it to mouse wheel for insta teleports.
Hag is one of those problematic Killer where if you straight up nerf them, they become crap. She needs some more changes, because her current version is probably the most unfun Killer in the game.

As a whole I don't like trap killers for me they are anti fun to play so I hope more aren't added to the game

,,little to no effort"

The only real problem hag has (outside of her camping abilities) is that you see her so little.
So many survivors have no clue how to play against her. Hell seems like half the red ranks don't know you can crouch to prevent the trap

Hag is fun but not as strong as people say since a destroyer of traps (who know to run to the very point where trap goes off, and then straight to loop) more or less makes her a slow M1 killer. But if you get the time to set your net up then Hag is difficult to deal with. Solos have a very hard time against Hag for obvious reasons.
So against solos you can really play around with builds because you could more or less win perkless against them.

I love Hag. <3 As a killer I play a lot of Pig, Clown and Hag.
She has such a different playstyle that's just fun and I can take perks with her that I don't normally use that often and they still work on her.
I also like playing against her, it's exciting and I always get a good scare when I trigger her traps. XD
You see her far too rarely and I think that's a shame. Actually, I almost only see Spirits on the red ranks. :(

That’s another reason I like her often the best survivor maps don’t bother Hag like Haddonfield or Badham.

"Fun" is a completely subjective term. I, for example, find incredibly fun playing killers normally considered boring, like Hag, Twins and Spirit. On the other hand, I hate playing killers that people normally consider "fun", like Oni, Myers and Huntress.
I suppose this also applies for survivors too, as a Claudette who likes to play in stealth is probably going to prefer playing against a Hag than against a Doctor.

I think the "unfun" aspect that's often given to hag (myself included) is from the POV of a survivor since she's a pretty fun killer to play as but less so to go against for some people.

Your counter that you mentioned has a flaw cause skilled hags don't chase hardly ever. I'll gladly leave chase and teleport to hit you or replace my trap. If you have good trap placement you'll get traps triggering very often in your web. I'm pretty much mashing the button all the time. The cycle is teleport hit reset trap watch where survivor went, if there's a trap in that direction chase and use the trap to down reset trap hook trap hook repeat. If a survivor begins to harass me I'll see it coming and either get a pallet down or get a free hit depending on the tile. Then I'll reset. A good hag will never chase without reason. Otherwise she will lose. Now while hag is carrying that's when you set traps off. And yes that can hinder her but only lasts until she resets.

I rarely meet a Hag that doesn't hard camp. So that type of thing is especially grating for Solo queue survivors, as there's no way to coordinate around it like the advantages SWF's have.
That being said, I just can't hate the Hag. For some reason watching her run around, the noises she makes when being pallet stunned just make me lol. I just love her design LOL.
I had taken this one Hag on quite a chase. She probably was after me through 2-3 gens. When she finally hung me, she put about 6 traps all around the hook, and still stayed really close patrolling (she just wanted me dead). All i could think about as I dangled, was how happy it would make me if they gave her a BEE costume cosmetic. Just imagine her with a yellow and black tail, a stinger, and two fluffy black pom-poms for antannae. She could have little wingalings too.
Why don't they get more creative with this #########? BHVR please hire me I have outfit ideas for daaayyyyyz.

I can’t ever decide what the fourth slot should be. I’ve done agitation and save the best and don’t like either too too much.

She's fun to play as and go against. You set up traps for snowball potential later. You disrupt her placing traps and get her to chase you. I think it just comes down to people not liking the change of playstyle, similar to Spirit.

Fun is subjective. I have fun shutting down loops while majority of survivors get their fun by being chased by the killer. She is the only killer where you don't have to actively go after every survivor you see there is a certain charm to that.

The unfun aspect of hag is that she literally does not chase survivors. Assuming she is good at playing the killer.
The only time she is every going to actually chase a survivor is if that survivor is about to run into a trap or she's guranteed to get a hit because of what the survivor has to do to avoid that trap.
If you don't have a flashlight you have to trigger her traps to harass them which can be done safely but she's just going to teleport to it and set a new one.
Once she gets a hook, even if she doesn't put a trap around the hook you can bet every pallet remotely near that hook is unusable, additionally she will then proceed to ccamp the survivor to death in the middle of her 3 gen, which is completely trapped.
Never does she make any interesting plays, she just places traps and waits essentially.
Her entire game is making sure she keeps a healthy web of traps down and she only ever interacts with a survivor if that survivor is doing one of her 3 gens or that survivor is inside her web. If a survivor is not in her web, she will just leave them.
Like there is nothing about hag that is satisfying, you bind your teleport to scroll wheel, place traps in a 3 gen and press the attack button the instant you teleport because you are constantly spamming your scroll wheel, then you place the trap back down and do it again.
There's a reason no one mains hag.

I don’t usually have a problem with exhaustion perks.
I don’t get much use out of it on her. Usually I’m too busy to do the kick, and win the game by murdering people instead of protecting gens. I use it on almost every killer but not her specifically.

Me a console Hag: Interesting
