They shadow buffed spirit and no one noticed it
I was playing normally when I noticed that, my character stops running and he continues making noises even if I stopped running, so, I went for the tutorial to test that theory, and was truth, that's make's spirit easily to play and super hard to counter, witch makes more boring to face a spirit

Why is this just directed towards Spirit? Any killer can benefit from that.

This has been in the game for as long as I can remember, it only lasts a couple of seconds anyway

Because use that mechanics is so rare against a wraith for example, is more common against a spirit

This is a thing since I started playing the game. No idea how you only noticed it now. I think rapidly crouching makes the sound go away.

Are you new?

This has been a thing for a LONG time bud

LMAO you beat me to it.

Uh... yeah. That's been a thing. For a long time. You run, you pant. You stop running, your character pants for a bit to catch their breath, then it's back to normal.

Ah yes, bug = shadow buff/nerf.

Well yeah? Survivors breathe too?

This has always been the case. That's why "nobody noticed", because literally nothing changed.

bro you literally just noticed something that's been in the game for as long as I can remember and think its a spirit buff. Really shows where your head is at when you play.

Ah yes; Survivors breathing is a shadow buff for <Insert Killer Here>.
What's next? Trapper shadow buff OP because generators explode? 😂

You can reset your survivor's breathing by letting go of sprint and the directional key for a split second. Then resume walking with normal breathing. You have to actually stop pressing the movement button though. It's not enough to let go of sprint. Doesn't matter how long you let off the buttons. Breathing returns to normal as soon as you let go of Shift+W, for example.

This has been in the game forever, what likely has happened is they fixed one of the one hundred million sound bugs in this game so that the feature actually functions correctly and you can hear survivors again. Thus making it seem like it is bugged when this is actually how sound is supposed to work.
Seriously, sounds have been bugged for over a year now, survivors still randomly make no noise on the ground, generators randomly make no noises and iron will still removes breathing too when it only should remove the injured sounds.

Yes when you run you put more stress on your body so you breath harder to recover.
