Why Slenderman should be a future chapter for the game [With Research]

NOT a CHAPTER CONCEPT but a History of Slenderman and more

This is extensive research and explanation on why slenderman should and needs to be a future chapter and some examples of concepts to get a grip on what he would do ingame while also including fun facts, reasons of having him, and fan art I made.

Also not feedback or suggestion since I am just explaining why he is perfect for Dead by Daylight while explaining what he is the majority of this.

Please look through everything down to the very bottom, this discussion has taken almost an entire week to make even with friends helping me.

Ok, now that's out of the way to prevent confusion and accidentally move this to the creations or feedback and Suggestions section I can start this.

I have spent a long time gathering information and taking my time with this so please read it all and leave a comment. I had help from a lot of friends to make this as enjoyable and eye-catching as possible.

Depending on where you heard him from you might differ on whether or not it’s a good idea. I am here to persuade and hopefully get people to wanting Slenderman in dead by daylight but also possibly to have him join

"The Hall of Fame of Horrors"

Design-wise

Slenderman is known to have a smooth faceless pale head, black suit with a tie, very tall with long arms, and occasionally black tentacles coming out from his back.

Below is one of the 2 photos of his first appearances starting his debut in 2009. The Photo was photoshopped by Eric Knudsen

image.png image.png

Slenderman from the fan-made 2012 game Slender the 8 Pages began his reign in the horror video game industry. The design is more simple since usually, the player can not get much close before dying from him. This version was used often to make other Slender fan games involving a school and a hospital

This is from Slender the arrival which came out on March 26, 2013. The game kept the main design from the original slender man but with higher quality with slight changes. This time instead of a smooth head he has indents and wrinkles all over his head. His suit is much more detailed and the tie color was switched from black to red. Instead of Black gloves/hands, his hands now match his skin. Later in the game, he starts to have black tentacles coming out of his back as the player gets more pages causing him to become more aggressive.

Not doing the movie version.......Slenderman is hardly in that movie and design is.....eh.

Powers

In tons of different media, he has multiple powers. However, I am going to stick with video game powers and other media that reference it so here are the many powers the Devs can choose from.

  • Teleportation: He is able to teleport near the victim rather than walking, but he does walk in Arrival, which I will link to the video above which is going to be pretty creepy with how he walks. In Dead by Daylight, you would think that either he would teleport to set locations that were marked at the start of the match or phase there in a spirit-like form.
  • Shadow Tentacles: in Arrival, it is known that he has shadow-like tentacles, but he rarely uses them in Arrival. In other media forms referencing this, he has the ability to pick up and destroy stuff with them. I do consider this a fact since they give him more lethality in Dead by Daylight if he were to use this ability.
  • Static/Technology Malfunctions: In every game, if you get too close, he will cause your screen to become static. This is due to the fact that you are not using the player's eyes, but instead, you are using a camera view. Based on this, it is possible that he is able to interfere with technology. So he would most likely affect Generators and Flashlights, but not stuff like Toolboxes or Medkits.
  • Illusions/Sanity Breaks: In Arrival, you begin to see changes with things such as the writings that were not there before about Slender, and warning the player about him. Also, it's known that Kate in-game, is a Proxy of Slenderman, which most likely means he drove her into insanity with possible illusions like the Doctor in Dead by Daylight.
  • Stealth: In the games, it is shown that he has the ability to be quite stealthy while stalking until he starts chasing down the victim.
  • 8 Pages, After the 8 pages game it seems now that he is somehow connected to the 8 pages in a way. It's unknown who placed the pages and why Slenderman does not want anyone to have them but one thing is known is that he becomes more aggressive as each page is taken.
image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

Personality/Lore

This is Slenderman's Lore and personality based on his games and theories made about him but also remember it's not real.

From the first game, his personality was always to hunt down the person that is collecting his pages and gives them a game over screen, followed by a Jumpscare. The second game, however, is a bit different. He still chases the player that is collecting the pages, but there is actual lore in Arrivial which I am not gonna spoil too much of it.

Between all of the media, it's the same. He does not stop hunting until you either: Collect all 8 Pages; Escape the area that he is in, or Escape while carrying the 8 Pages. It's again, unknown why, in most cases, he stops chasing the player after they have collected the Pages and/or have escaped the area. A theory is that whoever made the Pages did something to them which protects them from Slenderman if they were to collect all Pages and/or Escape the area he is in so that the person can escape alive. Maybe Slenderman is bound to some sort of rules that prevents him from chasing the player after they have collected the Pages and have escaped, or he is bound to the area he is in, and the pages are his memento from past victims that he does not want to be taken.

Slenderman mostly or always appears at only night which is unknown if it's for a stealth approach to stalk victims or only comes out at night. It is also known that so far he only appears or turns visible when a person is using a camera to look around. Using a camera when he is near causes the camera to glitch and distort which will intensify as he gets closer.

If someone does not have a camera then Slenderman would only appear to them if he wanted them to see him. For example, 2 people are in front of Slenderman which 1 does not see him while the other is having a panic attack at the sight of Slenderman. This could also bring the person who is being forced to see Slenderman to the brink of sanity because no one sees him except the victim.

Slenderman sometimes has shadow-like tentacles coming out of his back to catch victims unexpectedly. Tentacles are the best way to describe it because the appendages move like it has no bones but yet not detail can be seen on it. The tentacles are like Whips of shadows on his back that drain out any light that tries to shine on it. No suction cups like an octopus but more of like giant lethal whips that either destroy objects or impale/snatch victims. An example of this is when Slenderman is seen in Slender arrival trying to use his tentacles in a chase to snatch the main character.

Even though his normal aggressive style there is another way he attacks victims. Instead of the aggressive teleportation and killing the victim part sometimes he likes to take his time. Like I said before he could and can affect people's sanity to the brink of insanity which is what I am going to talk about in a second. Most of the time he chooses to stalk his victims in the shadows slowly making the victim feel like they are being watched non-stop. Once the victim starts to show signs of fear which Slenderman in reaction to it increases it by appearing randomly in view of the victim for a split or few seconds. Even if people are around where Slenderman was last appeared people do not recall seeing anything which is because Slenderman only lets people see him if he wants them to see him unless they have a Camera.

Though there is 1 sign that is always apparent if he is near which is electronics emitting static noise or showing static on the screens but this varies depending on the situation. As the victim descends into madness as more Slenderman affects them they will no longer tell what is real and what is not. When this happens Slenderman abducts the victim which they are never to be seen again.

It's also reported that Slenderman takes interest in people investigating him. If that happens then Slenderman will begin stalking his possible new victim. Once Slenderman has his victim in his clutches 1 out of 2 things will happen. The first possibility which is most common Is that they are abducted and are never seen again by Slenderman. The second possibility is they fell into Slenderman's power and have been fully driven into insanity which now they have become "Proxy" which are mindless yet aggressive puppets of Slenderman like an example of a proxy is Kate from Slender Arrivial which she is called "The Chaser" which was revealed in a secret level when you play as Kate and when Slenderman catches her, Slenderman will say "I have plans for you Kate".

There are a bunch of different theories on what Slenderman is which explains some of the stuff Slenderman is capable of and why. One is he is an old/ancient god-like Cthulhu who was created by H.P Lovecraft who is known to make dark creatures similar to that of Slenderman but in this example just imagine at this point Cthulhu is real. This would explain why he is very powerful yet still unknown to people of the modern world. If this is correct then would mean Slenderman would have existed for a long time and explain the many legends/folktales about him. This could also explain how his powers don't obey the rules of reality or don't affect him.

An interesting theory about the 8 pages is that it's a test for Victims when facing Slenderman. Once the Victim goes into the area where Slenderman is lurking and picks up the first page the game has started. The Victim has to run around the area avoiding Slenderman while collecting the rest of 8 pages as entertainment for Slenderman. Unlike most games, if Slenderman catches the victim it's game over permanently and their fate is sealed. When the Victim actually gets close to collecting all 8 pages Slenderman will become aggressive that he is losing and will start making the Victim's search of the pages more difficult. If the victim has collected all 8 pages, this will impress Slenderman which he will grant the Victim a reward. The reward is simple, permission to escape from Slenderman's grasp and live. Upon leaving the area the pages that the Victim has collected will strangely disappear which explains why no one ever has successfully retrieved and showed the 8 pages with anyone.

Another theory of Slenderman is the Pseudoscience theory. This theory states that Slenderman is a transdimensional being from another realm. This can explain why there is no explanation that can be made with science about Slenderman. Though this can also tie him into being an Ancient God from another dimension also since it is a possibility he can switch between realms and in modern media a basic fictional transdimensional being does not have as many powers that Slenderman possesses or even act like him.

Those who are being stalked by Slenderman sometimes suffer from "Slender Sickness". Slender Sickness is an illness caused by Slenderman which causes paranoia, headaches, nosebleeds, and/or a persistent sense of dread. This mostly happens if a victim is being overwhelmed by Slenderman's power which is most likely if he is too close to the victim such as in the same way when an electronic camera starts to distort and static.

Again, it's unknown why he acts this way. This is what I like about Slenderman because it means we can make tons of theories about him, and we could be right or wrong. We will never know.

Background

He was created by Eric Knudsen on June 10, 2009, for a photoshop contest about creating Paranormal images. He uploaded two black and white photos with Slenderman while also having descriptions in the point of view of some witnesses that would have seen Slenderman if he existed.

The first photo had the quote "We didn't want to go, we didn't want to kill them, but its persistent silence and outstretched arms horrified and comforted us at the same time…1983, photographer unknown, presumed dead"

The second photo had the quote "One of two recovered photographs from the Stirling City Library blaze. Notable for being taken the day which fourteen children vanished and for what is referred to as "The Slender Man". Deformities cited as film defects by officials. Fire at library occurred one week later. Actual photograph confiscated as evidence". 1986, photographer: Mary Thomas, missing since June 13th, 1986.

Soon he went viral on the Internet having fan art, cosplays, and even horror stories called Creepypasta. Slenderman's simple design made it easy for any artist to make art or animations with him. Also because you can wear a morph suit under a black suit anyone could dress up as Slenderman. The easy access to making a Slenderman costume lead to the creation of found footage Slenderman videos. This leads to the creation of web series called Marble Hornets then other versions due to the simplicity of Slenderman's design made it easy to imitate or recreate which also lead to tons of fan films.

The reason why he became so popular, according to many, is that he is shrouded in mystery. Writers can use classic Slenderman tropes to make their own stories about him and not worry about being truly cannon. Even though he is not real, people like to entertain themselves by making stories that seem he exists in which Eric gets a chuckle and says, “He might be real”. Even radio stations that do theories and conspiracies began to have phone calls about Slenderman. During this, it was known the entire world and the internet caught "Slenderman Fever".

He was on top of the world in horror. Anyone can use him to make horror stories without any real lore behind him. So, imagination was given to writers which, in response, made amazing horror stories. Then came Slender: The 8 Pages; and Slender: Arrival, which gave more ideas to writers and artists to make do with Slenderman. We were introduced to a new type of horror that was not bound to any cannon rules while still mysterious and threatening. Having multiple fan games to give us a genuine scare of the unknown. Another game was made by fans called Slenderman's Shadow which became very popular. The reason why the game became popular is that it had 8 maps instead of one so more gameplay for gamers and Let's Players while also having more scares.

Later down the line, a story was made about Slenderman which took place in the 1600s in Germany. Instead of Slenderman in this story, they called him Der Grossman or also known as The Tall man. Discovered on Wood carvings by an unknown artist. Der Grossman is described as a fairy that lurks in the Black Forest and is said to abduct bad children that adventure in the Black Forest at night. Der Grossman will stalk them until they confess the bad deeds they committed to a parent.

Any story of Slenderman that's made usually does not have graphic violence or body horror. Instead, most stories leave the victim's fate a mystery, leaving it up to the readers to figure out what happened to the victim of the story. Again this is because Slenderman is shrouded in mystery and people like to keep it that way so many more horror stories don't need to follow tons of rules just the basic ones like he can Teleport, cause static, has tentacles, and another stuff Slenderman is known to do.

Marble Hornets actually helped to expand The Slenderman Mythos by adding quite a bit more lore to him. Marble Hornets introduced the Slenderman Symbol ⦻ and the idea he can interfere with video and audio recordings. Not only that but they also introduced "Proxies" which are people who fell into Slenderman's power/madness and became mindless violent puppets like Kate in Slender Arrival.

Fun Facts

Some fun facts about our horror icon

  • He makes an appearance in a Gravity Falls comic book.
  • He appears as an easter egg in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
  • He makes an appearance on a security camera on Total Drama All-Stars.
  • Enderman name from Minecraft is a little joke on Slenderman.
  • Slenderman makes an appearance in Supernatural as "The Thin Man"
  • In Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, Slenderman makes a small appearance on a forest level.
  • He is a well known Creepypasta character and considered "King of Creepypasta" [Everyone knows but might as well place it here]
  • Silent Hill and Resident evil were some of the many inspirations in making Slenderman followed by other inspirations.
  • Eric's intention of making Slenderman was to "formulate something whose motivations can barely be comprehended, and [which caused] unease and terror in a general population"
  • Slenderman was created in 2 black and white photos that were photoshopped by Eric with Slenderman for a paranormal photoshop contest.
  • Any information about Slenderman is called "The Slenderman Mythos"
  • Slenderman in The Marble Hornets series is called "The Operator"
  • Crypt TV's Look-See most likely was inspired or based on Slenderman due to its design, use of proxies, similar powers, and both are considered Urban Legends as Look See was confirmed in The Fatal Wish Creepypasta and Slenderman is considered an internet urban legend.
  • Both Pyramid Head and Slenderman actually have some things in common because Slenderman came into existence from the Internet while Pyramid head came into existence from James. Both have been shown to have paranormal powers and are involved in some kind of legend. Also, both are them are monstrous paranormal beings that could potentially be more powerful than the Entity.
  • The Halloween store called Spirit Halloween has a mask that bears a strong resemblance to Slenderman called "Silent Stalker" which comes in tan and white but has black eye sockets.
  • Slenderman's choice of luring children into the forest has a strong resemblance to Pied Piper when he lured the children away from the town.

Why Should he be in Dead by Daylight?

Now we get to the reasons why he should or even need Slenderman in the game

  • Dead by Daylight can make great use of using Slenderman based on his internet horror fame back in 2012 to 2013 Scaring video game players and causing Parinoa to horror readers.
  • Dead by Daylight could also redesign Slenderman like the Noah Summers version which I posted few pictures of below the fan-made chase music. Even though Devs could just use the Slender Arrivial version with upgraded graphics which I am fine with as long it's not the Sony movie version of Slenderman.
  • He was such a big horror icon when during my middle school years which helped me also helped me graduate out of high school. I loved reading the scary creepypastas about him. Enjoyed the scares I had when playing the games, even if I was watching someone else play it. Also, Slenderman introduced me to the Horror genre.
  • Slenderman has no real back story so Devs can probably make him connected to the Entity like how Ghostface is but Slenderman is much more connected to the Entity than any killer Ingame due to his ominous appearance and unknown backstory.
  • Slenderman as a killer would bring tons of cash from Creepypasta fans and horror fans from the 2012 era.
  • Slenderman would be technically the first Urban Legend killer in Dead by Daylight.
  • Slenderman should be a terrifying killer, fun to play, and face in-game. He has so many powers that can work well in video games. He can be perfectly balanced while also being a possible S-tier killer. Slenderman could be bigger than Springtrap from FNAF if given the chance.
  • Unlike most horror icons in Dead by Daylight, there was no true way to win against Slenderman based on his 2 popular games. This brings true fear into Slenderman which truly makes him quite terrifying to players because even if you win the game, you can never truly escape Slenderman.
  • He can have a similar yet threatening walking animation like in Arrival so he does not feel out of place because most people are used to him standing in one pose while sliding to the player.
  • Look-See is highly likely based on Slenderman so why not add the Original as a Killer.
  • We can have a real forest map or a map based on Slender 8 pages or Slender Arrival Oakside Park.
  • Could have a Legion Proxy skin based on Chaser [Kate] from Slender Arrival.
  • Slenderman was the very first horror icon that had everything about him written by random people filling in the major gaps of his story solely based on 2 black and white photos.
  • Slenderman brings the classic 2012/2013 horror nostalgia like when playing/watching classic horror games during that time.
  • He can use his tentacles to pick up survivors or bash breakable stuff. You could even make pallets and doors just glitch out in existence.
  • His mori can be him grabbing a survivor and having their POV at Slenderman's face and goes to static as a reference to the classic games.
  • Currently, he is owned by Mythology Entertainment, which Sony came to them to make that... movie. At least there is a company they can go to to get licenses to have him in-game.
  • 2018 Slenderman movie did him wrong and Devs can do a lot better while maintaining source material.
  • A lot of people thought of Slenderman coming to Dead by Daylight when certain leaks came out and showed major interest for Slenderman in an April fool's joke video.
  • I did a poll not too long ago to see how many people would actually like a Slenderman Chapter and got quite a bit of votes https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/265270/slenderman-for-dead-by-daylight#latest

Here is a perfect example of Lobby and Chase music

An awesome redesign of him by Noah Summers

image.png image.png

Some concepts

Even one is an April fool's joke which quite a bit of people were disappointed that was not real

AGAIN VIDEO above iS APRIL FOOLS JOKE NOT REAL

I liked the April fools joke one because it shows a lot of people would have liked to see him ingame and showed a lot of interest.

Then there was something on Twitter about the possible Slenderman chapter cause the DBD logo had all the faces removed like Slenderman with no face which again people were kinda hyped for which is heard from here.

Bottom here is Art I made for Slenderman in Dead by Daylight to show how cool he would be in Dead by Daylight also using my Forum name not my Steam name.

Slender light4.png slender totem find 1.png Slender Ace1.png Slender Freddy2.png Slender Ghosts test 1.png Slender fire3.png Slender hallway2.png Slender Hill 3.png

If you read and looked at everything I posted then thank you for going through it all until the end. Please post your thoughts below and tell me if you would love to see Slenderman in Dead by Daylight or I actually made you like the idea of him being in the game.

Little heads up, the youtube video with only a link is not my fault since some reason the video that shows Slenderman having a walking animation won't show the video in the post.

Again let me know if you liked this discussion and if you are interested in Slenderman in being ingame. Spent almost an entire week with hardly any breaks researching about Slenderman to make this possible while sending drafts to friends for changes/advice.

Thank you, Always loved Slenderman and quite people want him ingame but rarely anyone speaks about it unless it's one of those "Once in a full moon" occasions.

Want some hype for Slenderman even if it's just a little so he is noticed more as a potential DLC killer by the community.

The only stuff relating to him about being in Dead by Daylight was chase music and April fool's joke which got people's attention last yet. Then noticed some Slenderman in dead by daylight started showing up later this year like predictions and leaks that might involve him so hoping Slenderman gets some hype this year.

Cool character and a great concept but he has been irrelevant for about 7 years [not counting movie] so might as well try to make Slenderman relevant again in a good way even if it was a waste of my time even though was not.

I had to up-vote, i respect all your research and effort into this post.

As for my opinion, i think i welcome slenderman into DBD, i think he is creepy and he can fit the tone, as long as he is done right and doesn't look silly.

Thanks, what's funny about Slenderman is that because he is so easy to recreate he has tons of fan-made games, and recently Slenderman has gotten good ones with good graphics.

What's ironic in your statement in this discussion is that there was a character that resembled Slenderman in that show but had nothing to do with the actual Slenderman.

Thank you, took a lot of wikis and a lot of youtube videos to get a lot of this information.

Also Dead by Daylight devs can do him right if they solely use the source material that is used when using Slenderman in fan games/horror stories.

Since you like my research here is a small bit that I cut out of the discussion because not a lot of people would know it.

Besides Der Grossman, there was supposed to be an actual real Slenderman-like creature in Germany called the Der Ritter which was an art piece made in the renaissance era by Hans Holbein the Younger. Depicted a creature similar to Slenderman with extra arms fighting a knight in the artwork. On later investigation which did not take long, it turns out the original artwork had a Skeleton in armor fighting the knight, so the artwork was modified online then had the changed version of it spread across the internet which most likely happened after Slenderman took over the internet.

Also, 7 upvotes on this are pretty good so hopefully, Slenderman gets noticed.

I hope we will see him here, hopefully his power is the skills you mentioned to make it fun to play as him. No doubt he would be a disturbing killer if he didn't have Terror radius as usual.

Honestly, I think Slender would be cool. He'd be such a nostalgia bomb.

The only issue for me is I really don't know how the licensing would work. He's... A creepypasta, pretty much. Public internet property, there's been thousands of different iterations of him in games, short films, pictures, fanfiction... I don't think BHVR would take from something so public. It's the same thing I feel about a possible Dracula or Frankenstein's Monster killer. They're public domain.

I guess technically there was that Sony Pictures Slender Man film, but let's be honest, I'm pretty sure everyone hates that version.

You know, even though my standpoint on Slender in DBD is basically, "if he gets in then hey cool" I must say this is a great topic and big ups to you for all the research you put into this. You made a old tinfoil hat theorist like me proud. :)

I hope as well, Slenderman would make the game 100% more fun for both sides. He would be more terrifying than most killers and have more jumpscare potential than Myers while still being an S-tier killer.

Since 2016 he has been currently owned by Mythology Entertainment so most likely Devs would go up to them but hopefully, we won't get the Sony Design of Slenderman. Also because of him being a nostalgia bomb like you said he has the potential to bring a lot of new players that are into horror stories and video games featuring Slenderman.

I'll reply to other comments tomorrow because I am severely exhausted from cleaning the house, finishing this discussion today and posting it, and taking care of my neighbor's dog while he is on vacation. I am really glad a lot of people love the work I put into this discussion since it means alot.

Slenderman was my absolute favorite creepy pasta when I was a kid. Though, I always got in trouble at school because they thought I was being violent when I read the stories.

Hate my high school, thank God I graduated many years ago haha, but the stories were great.

If.. they did add Slendy. It would be so nostalgic

My school decided I was a "troubled kid with autism"

I also got blamed for a school shooting threat. Even know I didn't do anything. The place was not a good place.

One of the reasons I absolutely H A T E when people put words in my mouth.

Edit: I am so ######### sorry, I am tired and I forgot to type threat by accident.

Gonna reply to the last few comments later since sorta busy with something but don't want to be rude and not reply to some while I can.

Thank you, it was indeed a lot of effort and more if you include the fan art I made. I love how he has no real lore behind him but tons of theories of what Slenderman is or why he does things which in most cases makes perfect sense even if you consider the Ancient God and the pages is a deadly test.

Slenderman would be the perfect killer to enter the fog and just imagine his trailer. You see him in the trees and split-second he is gone then he is right in front of the camera grabbing the person who is holding it. Also, another cool way is just to have Slenderman appear ingame during a trial once for a split second when a player reaches a zone that activates Slenderman to appear as a jumpscare teaser.

Also forgot to mention that Marble Hornets helped make Slender the Arrival game......my bad.

Pretty good idea based on the April fool's joke video. I would call him "The Myth" like in the chase music video or "The Legend" if he can't be Slenderman but still, everything else is amazing.

Slenderman would actually make sense as a Ghostface/Doctor hybrid. Stealth and Madness would make the game a lot of fun.

The Obsession mechanic is perfect for him since he prefers to only stalk 1 victim at a time and not multiple. Just taking out one by one until one remains to see Slenderman's wrath. Also, love the stealth mechanic since to me feels like a more powerful wraith with more possibilities because you are able to study the survivors and pick the right moment to strike. Lastly, the Page mechanic is awesome since it's major nostalgia from his past games but can also make survivors distracted from gens/totems long enough for Slenderman to get the upper hand.

Slenderman would bring a lot of nostalgia from the good horror days.

Yeah, the school had some very weird rules made by everyone.

You like horror icons including Slenderman then your gonna be the person to be blamed for everything, You like cartoons including the Simpsons then you gonna be picked on and be called a baby all the time. Loved video games that don't involve sports then prepared for non-stop bullying because they exclaim you are stuck in some fake reality.

Literally, the only way to survive school was either to become popular, be involved in sports, have a relationship, or avoid everyone as much as possible which might be different to some people but that is how it was for me.

Makes one remark on how paper in Egypt is called Papyrus and the next thing you know there is a giant hoard of people after you for the day.

Back to the subject, Slenderman ironically helped me get through the torture of school and helped me graduate high school. Because Slenderman introduced me into the horror genre I was able to be distracted in my free time and not give any of the bullies attention which ironically worked most of the time. Heck Slenderman inspired me to make my own unique characters to draw but mostly with the suits and general creepiness [Not Slenderman OC's]

Overall, Slenderman got me to where I am today making horror-themed art and reading/watching tons of horror classics. So love to see him get some attention by having him in Dead by Daylight. I also hate how he gets some bad attention over things so hopefully, they get drowned out if Dead by Daylight has him ingame.

You be surprised at how many people got in trouble for reading horror stories in school. Kind of funny people don't mind you watching movies but if it's a horror book they are watching you like a hawk.

Yeah, people usually do that when they can't find someone else to blame so they try to shove as many words in your mouth as possible until you accidentally say something they want you to say and be like "AH HA I KNEW IT"

It is ironic that we forget a lot of stuff we learned at school but we always remembered anything happening to use including the bad.

Ok back to Slenderman since just wanted to give my thoughts on the whole School thing.

I think Slenderman is a really good catch, I really hope BHVR gets to do something about it. Also really good research you have compiled there.

Thanks, Slenderman would basically be a lotto ticket if done right and focusing on Slender the Arrival rather than the Sony movie version.

The best part about Slenderman is it could be another Ghost face situation where the Devs could just get character license and make Slenderman have an original design while keeping the source like Noah Summers and make their own lore of Slenderman while keeping classic Slender mythos.

With 16 upvotes, quite a bit of votes on the Slenderman poll, and lots of good comments regarding Slenderman, nearly everyone upvoted more than once. Safe to say Slenderman has quite a bit of DBD fan attention currently so hope Devs see this and consider him a possible or a future chapter.

I will most likely do another one of this research discussions on Slenderman in a couple of months to make my points/research more eye-catching and professional to build up more hype. Maybe in October or December.

That reccomonded design.. please do not make it official, it looks horrible. he's not that thin.

it'd be perfect if he's just like the one from the older versions of slenderman the arrival

given his massive impact he had during his day He'd be perfect. He's not exactly relevant anymore but he is absolutely worthy of the horror hall of fame. Although given his height I think maybe it'd be a bit finnicky especially on lerys or something. However, It'd be cool to give him a unique animation where he bends down beneath doors and such.
