Observations from a killer main playing survivor
Generally I tend to play killer alot more than survivor, but with que times and events causing killer que times to sky rocket I guess I've become a survivor main for a 3-4 weeks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Here are some survivor observations from a killer main and I'd like your guys feedback.
- Nemesis is insanely boring to verse.
Here is why I've come to that conclusion and I wont play him again.
I don't think Nemmy is overpowered, but chases are boring. your options are to not take window vaults. pre throw pallets and pray server latency doesn't give the tentacle a hit, the most fun I have personally as survivor is in the chase and this killer takes that completely away.
I get so bored and fed up with getting hit when I think its unfair that I find myself saying "please just kill me, I want to go next"
- Certain perk combos are very boring to play against and should be addressed
The most common boring perk combo I found was a variant of a legion build, and please don't run this its just a snoozer suffering fest when you could just practice chase mechanics.
Ruin, Undying, Thant in accordance with a sloppy pin.
I don't have a problem with ruin/undying. its a fine combo and it's counterable with like 4 survivor perks or a map.
However, combined with a killer that permanently gets full benefit of thanat as well. its way too much value.
I think this can be said about both sides, but a lot of perks just give too much value and need addressing with more frequent updates/changes faster.
- I understand now.
I just want to finish by saying I can now sympathize with the other side. I think for the better part of a year I would rarely touch survivor and let my rank fall to the 15's or so. Playing at rank 1 for the last 4 weeks. I don't blame any of you for running full boring meta builds against killers. God I've had to deal with a lot or really boring matches. most of the times its like 4 regressions perks, which is ridiculous.
Take it for what it is I guess.
Good Luck and have a great weekend!

You have very little control as a solo survivor. All you can do is play your best and hope gens get done or, that the Killer ends it painlessly.

Solo survivor is pretty bad tbh. Makes killer look fun

After a cursory look at your post history, I'm convinced you're being honest.
Hats off to you for being open-minded.
Have a great weekend.

I don't think my solo experience was bad... It's more how wildly imbalanced perks work with each other to give advantages encouraging poor gameplay. That can probably be said about both sides however.
I also noticed that a lot of new killer powers, just negate chase which is the only fun thing about survivor. I don't feel outplayed when I get hit through a vault/over a pallet.
It seems like these are the killers that get played the most.

Thing I learned while playing survivor.
######### solo Q I am never going back there again.

As someone who plays Solo queue (only one of my friends play DBD sometimes), I've found there is no option but to run the same perks all the friggin time. I have to have BT, Decisive, Iron Will because the amount of camping and tunneling is horrendous and constant. My 4th perk slot I use for an exhaustion perk.
I'd love to try different perk combos, maybe have some fun with them, but w/o the above I'll just get tunneled out of the game so what's the point? lol

You get used to it. Everyone tends to play like jerks these days so I just play the way that I want to and hope that I get to have a few good matches in the meantime.
I've noticed that too. Most of the killers we've been getting have some long-range ability or a speed boost ability. Most of the time, chases aren't even worth it because you're penalized for going for it. I still try my best, but it's rare that I get a chase to last more than 10 seconds lol
