When was the last time you were truly invested before a teaser
What I mean is before a character is revealed you knew everything about the story of the franchise before the teaser began. You already had invested a lot of time in understanding the story before hand. I don't know if I'd ever been truly hyped for a icon instead of a cool killer design before they release. Like have any of you played/ watch all the games/movies before they are teased? Or did you just jumped on to a hype train because of a famous franchise?

The only licensed killer that i was really excited for after seeing the teaser was Freddy.
I'm not a diehard fan of the Nightmare of Elm Street franchise,but i watched a few movies and liked his character + concept.
Also his teaser + reveal trailer are easily the best ones we had so far imo

Never. Joined for Fred after the fact and while I was looking forward to Ghosty it was partly because I enjoyed the movies and liked having another Wes Craven killer not so much what the teaser offered. Poor Carl.

Blight's teaser. The shadow transformation made me really hyped that we were getting a werewolf. Was severely disappointed.

Blights teaser since the moment I heard that syringe inject and then the sound of it hitting the ground, I knew immediately we were getting the long awaited Alchemist

Even though at the time I had only heard of and seen videos of the series, the Silent Hill chapter was super exciting to me when I saw the trailer for it. With the chapter on the way I figured it was the perfect time to get into a series I had never played before but heard great things about. Played through Silent Hill 1, 2 & 3 before the chapter released and The Room shortly after. I was only more stoked for the chapter after playing the games.

I've played every Silent Hill from 1 to 4, so I was hyped AF for the chapter.

Oh not a single one.
The closest thing i got is with Bill by having 900 hours in Left 4 Dead 2, but that was juist build-up over the years, i love the game but i'm not invested in it.
2nd place is Resident Evil, i played Resident Evil 5 a lot, love that one with co-op.
And then 3rd place would be Silent Hill, i sometimes re-play an SH campaign in L4D2 and i played an SH game on the PS VITA for like 30 minutes.
Titles i didn't even know about until DbD revealed them...

Descend beyond, I was always looking forward to getting the alchemist as a killer. And I loved the theme of the blight events.
And little did I know the blight would turn out to be one of the best killers in the game.

I was really hyped for the RE chapter.
Shame it was a disappointment.

Re and silent hill, never played and didn't know nothing about it before the teaser and it got me really hyped. Played Re2 and Re3 remake, Re 7 and 8 as for silent hill I just read the story and enjoyed it a lot.

Blights teaser probably got me the most hype. The fact that it was gonna be a killer we knew to be the culmination of the games lore (and a blight event just around the corner) got me hyped to all hell. Blights design wasn't what i really expected from what the teaser implied, but hes still one of my favorite killers design wise.

Stranger Things, I'm a huge fan of the show.
I revisited Roblox, twice even as it had 2 events. I started watching Seven Deadly Sins when it crossed over with ST. I almost played Fortnite, but then both DbD and Roblox crossovers happen but I almost did. I'm even downloading Smite as we speak because of the ST Battle Pass.
So yeah, having 2 survivors and killer from my second favorite show was amazing.

I’ve ranged from small investments all the way up too being a full blown fan. I’m a massive RE fan(it was my number 1 dream chapter) so seeing that get in was fantastic all the way to Saw which… is a chapter. Just never cared much for the franchise at all but, hey, it’s one of those cases we’re if others are happy then I’m happy for them. :)

Resident Evil. I had always wanted a Resident Evil chapter in DBD so, Being a huge fan of RE and having played almost every game in the series, I was really excited for it.
