Bets on How Many People will Complain about Dead Hard, NOED and/or DS Instead of Bugs Post-Patch
I'm imagining at least thirty separate threads.
Edit: Just in case you're wondering, I'm talking about those who complain about DS regardless of its state of play. We all know who :)

You know that DS was already nerfed?
Or do you mean from the people that want the change reverted?

I'm assuming from people who want the change reverted. Like "You're telling me you did not revert the change on DS so I can exploit it again? Oh my actual god I can't believe the devs aren't letting me sit on gens with my minute of defense anymore."

You're more likely to see threads with 'DS is in every game, nerf it'.

Show me one post of this that was made since the last few months

I think I saw one crop up on twitter a short while ago.
And while it's not the same argument, there was a recent thread about DS having to be disabled during EGC.
And I think one of the people I was arguing with on another thread was complaining about 'second chance perks', too.
Seriously, DS is still being targeted for nerfs by plenty of people.

DS should deactivate EGC.
In exchange it should activate every hook state.

I like that idea. In practice though I think a load of people would freak out because you're nerfing DS again, and another load do the same because you're buffing DS again

just let them cry. Number of buffs/nerfs doesnt matter. Its all about making stuff fair and healthy.

On the fence with this one. That means potentially you can get stunned 12 times and don't give me that ######### about don't tunnel. I have been hit with DS hundred times because I hooked another survivor, Seen someone with BBQ, downed them, Ds stunned. Plus I get a lot of trials where survivors are the same skin. I guess I would be ok with the change but it can't still be 60 seconds if so.

We've all been hit with DS when not tunnelling but especially with how DS works now there's no way someone would be getting dstriked over and over in that way unless they were going out of their way to rehook the unhooked person
Also I think it would 8 times max? Assuming every survivor has it. Still seems very unlikely to happen

No thanks. It is already weak perk

Ya 8. My bad I'm up way before I should be. It's all based on how well your doing but once you eliminate a person chances are you going to get stunned, eliminate a 2nd def getting stunned.

Yes, from people who prefer the (unbalanced) version prior to the nerf. I don't run DS myself when I play Survivor -- which is a rare event itself -- but it's funny how many threads exist on here simply spawned out of outrage for the 'state of DS'.

Are you stuck in the past or something? DS has been changed months ago.

The only reason DS is still relevant to me is because it works in endgame. If that wasn’t the case I’d be dropping it for something else.

Did you read my edit? Clearly not. If you haven't noticed around here, people complain about DS regardless. I've seen countless threads rambling on about this, or Dead Hard, or Sprint Burst... often the exact same argument as with NOED; 'a get out of jail free card' (which doesn't explicitly apply to all these perks anyway).

Right on point. People will argue anything, yet I see DS as a relatively useless perk to play since its nerf.

I see a DS post maybe once a week. People complain about Dead Hard/NOED almost daily because these are perks that haven't been touched in years.
0 -
Well I don't know how your browsing goes, but I've seen at least three or four in the last week. An absurd amount for a perk that has little to no achievable value in-game.
0 -
Erm, not many. If you said Dead Hard instead I’d bet it would be a lot.

I've tweaked the title of the thread to encourage wider discussion. I guess my experience with complaints this month has been rather awkward, because I've been seeing 'DS is unfair' and 'Decisive Strike needs a rework' plopped here and there, again and again...

It doesn't really matter how long it takes you to hooked someone else, and then down the other person, if you got hit with DS, then it was a fair stun, because that survivor hasn't done anything to progress their objectives the entire time it took you to down and hook someone else.
Eat those 5 seconds, and revel in the knowledge that they wasted up to 59 seconds doing absolutely nothing.
1 -
Not really. Most of the time it's because they took forever to unhook that person and by the time they do I have already hooked another. They get unhooked as I am carrying someone (for example) and since it's been so long since I hooked that person after I end up coming across them again whether it be them trying to use it offensively, others hiding, or just dumb luck. Not to mention when there is only 2-3 survivors remaining and you are rotating them on hook you will have to slug/or eat the stun each time. No one wants the potential 40 seconds of stun/extended chases. Killers don't have that kind of time. Especially against a decent swf who will abuse the ######### out of this. If this happened timer needs reduced.

I get LOTS of killers whining about DS in post game chat when they get hit by it in end game. Like, I'm sorry that the severely nerfed perk did what it is supposed to do. I had a killer DC with literal seconds left before he would have been out of the game anyways after he got hit by DS at the exit gate (for tunnel visioning the survivor that just got unhooked rather than going for someone else). People get so tripped up on obsessing over defining it as solely an "anti tunnel" perk that they get mad when they FEEL like they didn't tunnel and still got hit by it.
