RPD Hatch Spawn Location

The hatch for my last match spawned on the second floor. Is it supposed to do that?

    I know it can spawn in the Library, on the upper level. Can't the hatch also spawn on the mid-staircase landing on Midwich too?


    I know it's not supposed to spawn on the 2nd floor(from my understanding), but it seems like there are some exceptions.

    I actually thought a thing with indoor maps is that they would never spawn on second floors guess this doesn't apply?

    Yeah, it can spawn on the second floor for some reason.

    And that's usually true or at least they can't spawn in places where there's something under them. Which is generally why the hatch tends not to appear near the basement (unless offerings are played or just weird luck) and can spawn on landings of staircases even though they technically are not on the first floor. Although RPD is still different, I've seen the hatch spawn places where there's something under it, therefore it shouldn't be able to spawn in said location.
