No hits through pallets ?
I’ve had it happen maybe 6-7 times now, I swing. Hit the survivor through the pallet. Hear them make a sound as if hit yet no hit registers ?
I know they’ve changed the sync and all of that about gen grabs and pallet drops but it’s kinda annoying getting a clarification that I’ve hit them yet get no hit at all…… is this just classic devs making a crappy mistake again ?

It's ping based calculated on server and the annoying scream, hit behind is just a bug. So it's fake hit.

Isn't it ping and how far down the pallet is when you drop it? Like the pallet has to be at least halfway down for the hit to be cancelled for it to invalidate the hit.

Actually I'm not sure but somewhere here on forum one guy posted video how he is still able to get hits through pallet but Surv must have higher ping than him.
So basically it looks like if the Surv hit Space before Killer swing it's already cancelled because Surv was faster but if the Surv has higher ping it's probably delayed and it's possible to hit him same as before.
But idk for sure, I'm playing on 30-40ms and I was always able to down them before they even throw the pallet, only one time I faced this bug when I hear the hit but Surv run away like ballerina without damage.

I thought I saw a mod earlier say the pallet needs to be about halfway down before a hit can be cancelled, but those pallets come down so fast once you throw them, I'm not sure how you would be able to catch where the pallet was unless you were at the very beginning of the animation.

07h43m30s - look at this, Surv not even screaming and pallet is definitely not 1/2 way down. It looks like hit was on 1/2 way but it was canceled, why? I'm not sure. But I think it's because they both hit irl M1/Space in same time but Surv has better ping, so his pallet stun was first on server and server calculated this as cancel.

And tbh I'm totally confused rn, I never get hit since 5.1 behind pallet but in one of my last match I have little bit higher ping than usual, something around 51ms, I was throwing pallet mid chase and Killer was good 2 steps behind me, I get clear stun on him and hit at the same time. So it was not canceled. I really think it's literally ping based now and who has best connection to the server is able to win every pallet. But as I said, I'm not sure.

That's because you're seeing it from the killer's POV. The pallet was thrown (and, therefore reached 50% of the way down) earlier according to the server (and even earlier than that according to the survivor's game).

That's not true, because I'm the Zarina who's throwing the pallet.😀 And first I was really confused why he didn't hit me and what happened so I was looking for this vod. I was really late, it looks exactly same from my pov but it was cancelled anyway.

Oh I see. It's possible he just realized you were going to throw it too late and swung late. Other than that I have no idea why it was canceled.
