New "ARTIFACT" rarity

Are there any items with that rarity in the game already ? Why even add it ?

    Exclusive Survivor cosmetics are Artificat rarity, but they were always light purple colored.  They were called artifacts for a long time.

    i.e. 72hrs Schmock, DiaHype Shirt, SxyHxy jacket.

    Event items are the orange-yellow ones. Artifact is the Purple one ( to the left of event, right of ultra rare )
    Haven't seen any artifact item ever. Even legacy are Ultra rare

    Legacy should be artifact because its a thing of the past. You can't get it so it would make sense. I wonder if the devs are going to do some sort of event for the future that ties directly with the lore of the game like something from the past.
