Any tips for trickster

I've started maining trickster since the update and have been struggling with some things.
I'm a console player so obvs my aim is never going to be great with him lol. But is there any tips other than aim.
My main problem is hitting people with blades round obstacles, any obstacles really, such as a haybale.
I'll hit a few blades but then as soon as I turn the corner with my blades they manage to turn the corner. This just repeats no matter how many moonwalks and mind games I do they always manage to turn the corner before I can flurry them.
Do I just hit them instead?
