How popular is DBD as of now?

I checked steam charts and its the 8th most played game on steam as of now.And i think it has been in the top 10 games for some time now.

I know a lot of people came with the RE chapter but we also hit our all time peak on 5th anniversary launch day (steam only we dont know how many on other platforms).

So how mainstream is DBD exactly?

Its also the 16th most streamed game on twitch apparently.

    I think DBD has its fair share of people watching and playing.

    To be honest, the game itself is really one of a kind for a long time now. I haven't seen much other games like this one (not counting the flopped games that tried to be somewhat like DBD).

    It's consistently in the top 15-20 most viewed games on twitch so I'd say it's doing pretty well.
