Michael Myers has saved Dead by Daylight
When I started with DBD in 2016, I felt the same way. I love the good old days and if you ask me, the iconic Michael Myers saved DBD and opened a lot of doors. Look that Vid, do you remember guys ? your first times ?
Love it

I booted up the game for the first time on December 25th, 2018. The legendary Winter theme was enough to send shivers down my spine. I remember playing through the tutorials, my first matches as Survivor, my first match as killer (Old Freddy on Torment Creek).
Ah, those are sweet memories of a better time. Back when DBD provided me with a level of enjoyment that no other game could. Sadly, it is gone now.

Yeah Myers is kinda what gave dbd it’s popularity. Getting a huge license that early was one of the best things to happen to BHVR

I agree, the Halloween Chapter, even if it brought the most atrociously designed perk in the game (it's way better now though), absolutely saved DBD and rose its popularity off the charts.

Michael Myers is god in this game.

enjoy guys enjoy, love it too :)

I always assumed you were there from the start with the amount of nostalgia you have but I actually started a few months before in september of 18. I do like to reminisce about the two weeks with no spirit 😄

Oh yikes, that gave me chills.

I wish that was true. Being here from the very start would have been a blast! Sadly, I didn't even know about DBD's existence until late-2018. I would say my opinions are more than nostalgia, they are an old fashion. And I call myself the king of old fashioned DBD.
And it is so nice to know you also started in 2018! We are the best of the Fog.

The Halloween Chapter is the reason I picked up the game. When my friends told me Michael Myers was in it I was sold. Been a Mikey main for three and a half years now. No regrets. Love him.

It's why I gave the game a chance.

I think they should give him a new chase theme. That or make the Halloween theme persistent while he's in tier 3

Oh by the way: here is it. This year he´s comming back

For me it was the 2018 Halloween event. It was... amazing.
The event was 100% killer sided, but I didn't care.
It was so much fun playing the game with my friends during this event and witnessing it as a killer.

I'll say it.
I genuinely dislike Halloween, but I'm not gonna be stubborn and pretend that Michael didn't open the doors to new ideas and concepts that we love.
Hell, my all time favorite speculated licenses wouldn't even have a chance to enter dbd, same goes for my other favorite license that's actually in dbd.
Thank you Michael Myers

He definitely made it popular

That trailer is so good. So many epic money shots of Mikey in action.

The game would look so much different if we didn't have Myers. He's a relic of the game in the past in a lot of ways (tombstone, etc) but I like a lot of what this game was and I think a lot of other people do too.
There's a reason you don't see people with the ign "Mori me Wraith". Nope. It's "Mori me Myers" for a reason.

I agree that a lot of dedicated players (including myself) may not have even given this game a second look without all the licenced horror content.
Thank you Michael for being the first!

i mean it´s a bit early but do you think we got something for him and Laurie on halloween guys ?

I really hope we do. Especially since there is a new Halloween movie this October too.

well, i hope we get this year halloween something special for him. Maybe a Haddonfield rework ?or a very good halloweeen event with some new cosmetics ( new mask or something ) for him or Laurie.

I was never big on Halloween either, but Michael was huge for the Call of Duty private scene. I'd go as far to say that Michael is what kickstarted my appreciation for Infected/zombie game modes. Before Nazi Zombies, we had Michael Myers

What

i have no idea what the hell you talking

More like opened the door for BHVR to leech off licenses instead of coming up with original content that would've actually proved their talent. I promise if you took out all the licensed content in this game, it would die within a few months

ya i like it to. More realism = better and who knows, maybe we got something special this year

A shame that he is in such a bad state now. Completely outdated and not really fun to play.
0 -
Thats why he needs a buff. I love myers but once in green ranks gens start to fly way to fast to stalk and build momentum. Oh but if it does go well there's nothing like a BW to game that went from a 0-1k to a 3-4k
1 -
why do you think he´s on a bad state now ?

I find him extremely fun and consistently do well with him in red ranks. He's been my killer main for three and a half years now. He could definitely do with some buffs but he's not nearly as bad as some people make out. He's not even in the bottom five worst killers.

yes thats true and im also your opinion

I think the post deserves another little push and I really hope the developers do something special for Halloween this year.

Plus there's a new Halloween movie coming next month. It could be a double celebration.

I wonder what will happen after when all the popular license killers are included, how will this affect the game in the future?
0 -
all popular killers? oh that will take a long time i think

Myers doesn't need a buff, you need to learn how to play him. He's a mid to late game slugger.

14th october Halloween kills starts in the cinemas
