Counter to spirit?! Is this a new thing?
Okay if everyone knows this I am gonna be sad because I swear this is new, I tested this. You can light burn the spirit's husk when she is phasing and it will be destroyed, I do not have proof just try it yourself
Yes this is not a hard counter but it does counter her stand still mind game

I bet she phased, but didn’t move.
It is known that you can lightburn the Spirit while phasing (the invisible part, where the killer player sees from). Doing so should pull her out of phase and therefore destroy her husk.
In this case, if she phased without moving, it makes sense that you would get both the lightburn and husk-destruction in the same spot.
That said, I dunno if there’s something else going on in your situation, but this explanation makes sense to me so far.

I didn't know that. However, I did know you can also use a flashlight to test if she's phasing or not. If there's no sound of blinding, she's phasing. I didn't include not reacting to it because Lightborn exists. Even with Lightborn, the sound of blinding is still there just no actual blind. A phasing Spirit however, you won't hear that sound.

She sees the beam emitted by the flashlight, so this counter basically achieves nothing. If she's phasing somewhere else, the husk isn't affecting you in any way. If she's phasing after you, she can pinpoint where you are.

A thing that you can do as a Spirit is to semi look at the ground, you can still see the survivors but they can't blind you and no blinding sound plays. They will try to blind you, see that you can't be blinded/the sound doesn't play and vault into you.
