Should I get Ash or Leatherface?

Heya! I’ve saved up enough money to get some cells, and I’m torn. Should I get Ash or Leatherface? I like them both, and I want both of their perk sets. I’ve also been a fan of both Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Evil Dead, so I can’t pick one based on movie preference. I’m also someone who plays killer and survivor equally, so theirs no role preference. Any insight would be great!

Makes sense. But I do have to question, has any of Ash’s perks been on the shrine? I have power struggle and I mainly wanted Ash because of my fondness for him and Flip-Flop (I think that’s the recovery to wiggle perk). If flip-flop has been on the shrine before then I’m definitely getting Bubba.

Leatherface has one of the best perks in the game, Barbecue & Chilli, so if you want to play any Killer at all, I would 100% go for him. Matter of fact, I'd ensure all of my Killers get this perk sooner rather than later, as it will ensure you have a steady supply of Bloodpoints for all of your other characters, on top of that, Leatherface is a really solid killer.

Ash on the other hand... While he is Ash Williams and that's enough of a damn reason, his perks are rather questionable when it comes to their actual use.

So if you love both of them equally, then practicality ought to skew things in Leatherface's favour.

I love Ash and main him, but his perks are garbage, so I'd get Bubba.

I’m a sucker for practicality, and I forgot about the BP aspect of BBQ and Chili. Definitely getting Bubba. Ash can wait tbh.

Flip-Flop and Buckle Up they are perks that were before in the sanctuary, they are more decent, Flip-Flop is good to have in some cases when the killer is chasing another and leaves someone on the floor. Buckle Up doesn't really work that much, but combining it with other perks like Kate, Elodie and Bill seems to work quite well to avoid being hanged or giving the killer trouble. Mettle of Man, garbage.

I think he was once in the sanctuary but it was a long time ago, I don't usually buy much there since I have all the DLCs.

With Bubba it is easy to play and fun, you can collect the masks of the main survivors + the prestige + the bubba skin + the new one that is about to come out.

Y’all are making me desperate to get Bubba now 😭. My plan was to wait to see who the new killer is, and then either buy Bubba or the new killer, but now I just want Bubba 😂.

If you like Ash get Ash. If you like Bubba get Bubba. If you are looking for who has the better perks? Bubba.

You seem well-versed in Bubba tactics, so I have to ask, even if I’m terrible with Hillbilly, would playing Bubba still be fine? Cause I suck as billy (though I’ve only played as him in green ranks on ormond so it’s not like I’ve had ample practice) but would my skill with Bubba be terrible if I can’t do billy? I know they’re pretty different in terms of power but at least in my eyes, they’re almost the same power.

Bubba. Not really a question. Ash has 2 meme perks and one so bad it can't even be a meme. Bubba has literally the single most used killer perk in the game in BBQ and Chili. Knock out isn't TERRIBLE but isn't amazing. It's more of a synergy perk than anything, Franklins is a very good way to deny survivors resources and is also currently the only real way to counter keys other than some extreme tunneling. Bubba himself as a killer is surprisingly good. He's obviously not near top tier but he can really catch some survivors off guard especially with something like endfury or bamboozle. Also you know, if a survivor really gets on your nerves nobody is better at making sure someone dies than bubba.

I love Buba more than anything. He has great opportunities to clean up whole teams at once.his chainsaw is easy to control and takes a long time. Only the counters are difficult at the beginning but with a little practice gets there.his start perks are really good for the beginning. And in the beginning you can play him well with his three perks and sloppy Butcher.

This was definitely the comment that put the nail in the coffin. Assuming the new killer is gonna be Candyman, Bubba is now part of my collection. Also for anyone who commented thanks for the help! Your persuasiveness worked lmao

Still on the edge as a tip. Your chain saw is most effective before pallets. If the survivor runs towards one, you turn on the chainsaw and he must either collect the hit or sacrifice the pallet that is immediately destroyed in an animation.if you become good you can even make mind games with the chain saw because you are faster with it and it lasts a long time. You meet the environment in your field of vision so it even works good with the colliesion. And if he chooses a window, slap in the face with the hammer! Through your Franklin skills, he loses items with the punch. Sloppy makes him bleed and heal more slowly. And his last perk ensures that who he goes down no one sees where he lies. So even if you can't use the chainsaw, you have good effects on your side against him. Bbq ans chilli is the dream perk more you don't have to say.

Bubba is easy, it has 2 base loads including 0, it would be 3 loads, when holding with the chainsaw, when the red indicator is on the number, press right click to increase the distance of the chainsaw until you reach 0, it is easy, With a purple addon, he has 4 charges but his chainsaw sweep is slow, but effective.

With Bubba he makes lateral attacks and does not move like a condemned man, with Hillbilly it is difficult to target a survivor well if he makes a maneuver, with Bubba that survivor will have no escape, his only option is to throw a pallet, window or locker.

But if you collide with a structure, the tantrum is activated and is slower than Hillbilly, that would be their difference in powers. You only need to have good precision with the mouse if you play on PC, and be firm, move without the chainsaw colliding with a structure and target the survivor, pallets and doors. If you are in a long loop, the best thing you can do is activate the chainsaw and make a complete turn, with Bubba with the active chainsaw it is faster and faster with addons from Chile.

Leatherface, he's actually really fun to play as. He comes with great perks too such as BBQ and Franklin's. He's also got an upcoming outfit and you wouldn't wanna miss out on that, right? Ashley's perks aren't that good/useful imo but he is overall one of the coolest survivors in DbD, judging from the character itself :-)

leatherface is pretty much mandatory for the perk bbq and chili. makes the grind easier for all your characters. Bubba himself is also a good and fun killer now. 100% worth.

Wait and see who the new killer is. We’re not that far from the next chapter. It could be an original chapter, therefore, not requiring auric cells, or it could be a licensed killer that you’d like more than Bubba and Ash.

Right now, the better choice is Bubba. He is a strong killer with really good perks. Ash is just a reskin with meh perks. I’ve seen his perks in the shrine as well, you just need to make sure you check it weekly.

You definitely want Bubba if you don't yet have bbq. Since bhvr won't do something about the grind they will at least allow you to pay for a perk that helps it lol.

When it comes to picking a survivor or a killer. Survivors are literally skins. Your only picking them for their perks. Killers are at least unique(or copies). As many have stated. Ash's perks suck and Bubba has 2 very good perks. So Id pick Bubba.
