Dead Space Chapter concept (complete)
Killer: The Ubermorph (v2)
A commanding killer, able to alter the minds of it's victims and turn their corpses into allies using it's power, The Marker.
It's personal perks, Hex: Hivemind, Confusing Signals, and Expanded Domain allow it to see any who act carelessly, disrupt survivor information, and increase it's control over the Trial Grounds.
- Tall
- 4.2m/s (105%)
- 16m terror radius
Power: The Marker
The great power of The Marker shines through even in The Entity's realm, altering the minds of all who the signal touches.
The Marker:
A Black Marker spawns in the middle of the Trial Grounds, sending out a powerful signal that slowly builds up the Influenced Status Effect in survivors throughout the Trial, the speed of which depending on distance to The Marker.
Survivors will suffer from various afflictions depending on how much they have been Influenced and Influence cannot drop below 40%. The Influenced Status Effect is represented by incomprehensible symbols of varying intensity over player portraits and on the edges of the screen.
0-15% Influence:
No effects.
15-20% Influence:
- Causes survivors to briefly hear a rapidly approaching Illusionary Terror Radius upon working on a generator.
20-40% Influence:
- Causes survivors to intermittently experience hallucinations in the form of an Illusionary Ubermorph moving towards them in whichever direction they are facing, disappearing once they get within 8m. (Every 20s)
- Survivors Influenced beyond 40% will be able to slowly lower the Influence when within 8m of another survivor.
40-60% Influence:
- Causes survivors to suffer from the Paranoid Status Effect*, the effect renews every 80 seconds.
60-80% Influence:
- Causes survivors to scream if they come within 8m of a hallucination, briefly revealing their location.
- Survivors who have reached the second hook stage can be Transformed by Infectors.
80-100% Influence:
- Healing and repairing begin working backwards, causing survivors to regress generators when completing skill checks and Injure themselves if healing another survivor. If already Injured, they instead inflict themselves with the Deep Wounds Status Effect.
- Survivors who have reached the second hook stage can be Transformed by Infectors.
SPECIAL ABILITY: Command
Press the Power Button while looking at a highlighted Slasher or Infector to begin Commanding it, causing it to follow you. Pressing the Power Button again will cause it to stop following you. While a Necromorph is following you, press the Active Ability Button while looking at a highlighted aura to send it to that area.
If a survivor comes within 16m of you, the accompanying Necromorph will begin pursuing them. Only 1 Necromorph may follow you at any given time.
You cannot send Necromorphs to an area that already contains another one or where a survivor is hooked. You see the aura of all Slashers and Infectors.
SPECIAL ENEMY: Necromorph Infectors
3 Infectors spawn and roam the Trial Grounds, actively avoiding survivors below 80% Influence unless Commanded, at which point they will attack. Stunning or blinding an Infector will render them immobile for 30 seconds. Infectors move at 1.75m/s with a detection range of 16m by default.
If a survivor is attacked by an Infector, they will be damaged for a single health state, unless they are injured and on their second hook stage at 80% Influence or above, at which point they will be vulnerable to being Transformed by an Infector. During this process, the Infector is vulnerable to being crushed by another survivor, killing them permanently.
If the Infector is killed during the process, the Dying survivor's aura will be revealed to The Ubermorph, allowing it to Command another Infector to begin Transforming them. If an Infector finishes the Transformation process, they will be destroyed.
Alternatively, once the first generator is completed, a dead body will spawn next to The Marker, allowing you to Command an Infector to begin Transforming it into a Slasher.
SPECIAL ENEMY: Necromorph Slashers
If an Infector finishes the Transformation process, the dead body will turn into a violent Slasher that roams the Trial Grounds, hunting any survivors it sees within 32m and moving at 2m/s.
If a survivor is hit by a Slasher, they will be damaged for a single health state, unless they are Injured and on their second hook stage, at which point they will be immediately executed and the Slasher will begin slicing at the corpse, rendering them unable to move for 60 seconds.
Survivors may remove the limbs of a Slasher by stunning it, killing it once it has been stunned 2 times. Slashers may also be blinded, becoming immobile for 15 seconds upon blind.
*Paranoid Status Effect: Survivors afflicted will hallucinate, seeing all other survivors as the Killer with no red stain if at least 16m away upon affliction. Once the afflicted survivor(s) gets within 6m of another survivor, said survivor no longer appears as the killer to the afflicted survivor(s).

PERKS:
Hex: Hivemind
A Hex that links you with The Entity, ensuring you know all that happens within the Trial.
If a survivor disturbs a crow, it will immediately start flying above them for 8/10/12 seconds. If 3 crows are currently flying above a survivor's head, see their aura for as long as the crows remain. A maximum of 3 crows may fly above a single survivor. Crows are unaffected by perks while the Hex remains.
The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.
(Details: A fairly simple Hex. Whenever a survivor causes a crow to fly away, it will fly above them. If they manage to get 3 crows above them, you'll see their aura for the duration. The duration will always reset when they disturb another crow, regardless of how many are above them at the moment, so if they are always running, you basically know where they are at all times.)
Confusing Signals
Your connection to an otherworldly power allows you to send out powerful signals.
When a survivor is hooked, the 1/2/3 other survivors see 2 extra hook notifications and auras scattered across the map.
The hooked survivor suffers from the Blindness Status Effect until unhooked.
(Details: Another simple perk that is solely used to throw survivors into chaos since they won't be able to pinpoint the exact hook location easily. Paired with other perks and addons that inflct Blindness, this perk becomes even scarier since all other survivors will only see the first 3 notifications and not the auras due to Blindness.)
Expanded Domain
Collection of biomass increases your control over the Trial.
For each unique survivor you hook, gain a token.
Interacting with a generator that is currently regressing or has no progress consumes a token and links the generator to you for as long as it isn't fully repaired.
Interacting with a hook or regressing/regressed generator will cause The Entity to shroud you in fog and allow you to teleport you to whichever linked generator you are highlighting. Upon teleporting to a linked generator, it will explode, instantly losing 10% progress and causing any survivor within 8m to suffer from the Hindered Status Effect for 10 seconds.
Expanded Domain can only be activated every 60/50/40 seconds.
(Details: The most complex perk by far. Essentially, this allows you to create a network of teleport locations that all connect to each other. When you interact with a hook/gen, you will see the fog on the corners of your screen and you'll only be able to turn until you highlight a linked generator and press the interact button again. Requires some proper planning to use well.)
MORI: (Unfortunately, no limbs would actually come off since this is dbd after all)

Survivor: Isaac Clarke
An experienced engineer, able to use his quick thinking to find a way out of precarious situations.
His personal perks Resist The Influence, Stasis, and Last Resort allow him to resist Hexes, impede the killer, and fight back when out of options.
PERKS:
Resist The Influence
Your experience with powerful forces has given you the ability to keep a level head under dire circumstances.
You start the trial with 1 token up to a maximum of 2/3/4. Tokens can be gained by cleansing totems.
Whenever you would be affected by a Hex, instead consume 1 token.
(Details: As an example, you are healthy with at least 1 token and the killer has NOED active. They hit you, but instead of going down, 1 token is used and you are only injured. Another example: You have at least 1 token and the killer has Ruin active. When you get on a generator then leave it, it does not start regressing, but a token is used. This occurs everytime you touch a gen with Ruin up, so it can deplete all your tokens quick if not careful.)
Stasis
Advanced technology allows for creative strategies to deal with threats.
You start the Trial with 2 tokens up to a maximum of 5. Gain tokens by completing generators.
Press and hold the Active Ability Button for 1.5 seconds while standing within 6m of the killer to consume a token and slow their Picking-up, Dropping, Pallet breaking, Breakable-Wall breaking, Generator damaging, and Vaulting speeds by /30/35/40% for 10 seconds.
(Details: If you stand within 6m of a killer, you get a prompt to use Stasis. It must be held for 1.5 seconds, at which point all actions listed for the killer will be slowed for the duration. Flashlight blinding will take longer if the killer is affected, so be ready to go through item charges.)
Last Resort
When all else fails, you muster the strength to fight back.
Once per Trial upon reaching the second hook stage, Last Resort activates.
- Press the Active Ability Button while walking to throw a punch directly in front of you, stunning the killer for 2.75 seconds if hit.
- Successfully stunning the killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.
- Failing to stun the killer will make grunts of pain 50% louder for 25/20/15 seconds.
(Details: Very similar to Dead Hard in activation, except instead of running, you press the active ability button while walking. This means you could even chain Dead Hard into Last Resort if you wanted since Last Resort isn't an exhaustion perk. Think of this perk as a mobile Head On that is one time use.)

I've spent a long time adjusting this concept, so I figured I would share. As usual, I appreciate feedback.
Currently, I believe the power is extremely fair and I think it'd be pretty fun, but do feel free to point out any flaws or possible number adjustements.
