Why tunnel players with a key?

dying lets his team pick it up...again why that's not the way to go.

lol comparing apples to motor oil
Moris have always been intended to enhance camping to completion. It skips hooks, so why shouldn't the key skip objectives?
Moris are boss on PH tho

They not have to get off gens to pick up the giving me time I didn't have or maybe they get crazy and try picking it up while I'm in the area and now I've move from a kill into a chase that I possibly got a hit on.
I can't remember but if a survivor dies you don't see there item aura right only with Franklins
0 -
wont see the aura no but they will know where they died and the time spent so focused on one person they did enough gens to just leave witht he key thats the point.

Your making the assumption that they are going to go for the key evertime and doing so more than likely puts you in a spot i can capitalize on like I said maybe I have BW maybe I'm running an end game build with neod maybe I put a hag trap on the key
0 -
So are you going to go pressure someone off a gen?
0 -
Best tactic: play casual, just chase and hit, maybe don't hook, then if they want to use the key the survivors still have to complete all five gens.
That's what I do most matches, though, key or not. But it still totally negates any usefulness the key might present.

Absolutely im not camping it almost always going to bite you but if I'm using a high mobility killer ill go back that way
0 -
cool you picked up a chase and another survivor picked up the key now we are back to 3 man hatch escape
0 -
Cause its an easy escape for not just 1 but for all survivors... keys are broken. Anyway leaving the key hidden in a spot is what a clever survivor would do. Running around carrying the key its just asking the killer to tunnel you, specially if he's well prepared with franklin demise.

If I see someone bringing Key to my games I tunnel the ######### out of him because only one simply reason. If he that much want to be able to end the game faster that the gens are done then I'll help him so he gets out as the first one. Also I've seen people playing with keys to be more toxic and greedy so it brings me joy to look on thier faces being on the hook while for fun I keep pounching them. You know it's quite relaxating to do that

I bring Plunderer's + Appraisal and hide the key so no ######### ass tunnelers getting ready to beat my ass before the game even starts

I said end game build with noed there is no chase I hook said survivor and most likely his friends are already close by which turns into me defending a hook with noed

Keys cut the work that needs to be done by all Survivors by 20% for each dead Survivor. Moris were no doubt stronger, but the two were still very much comparable and absolutely OP.
1 -
Hence the not tunneling one of them out right away part
0 -
What do you propose, then?
0 -
force them to do all 5 gens in an area of the map you chose from the beginning for your 3 gen, when its coming down to the wire assuming you have someone hooked which is part of the flow of the game, slug the key holder and finish them off as they panic like lemmings trying to get him up as well as getting the person off the hook. by playing the game in a normal way you should only ever really have 1 person if that doing gens at any given time.

How on earth is it "scummy" to remove someone from the game with 2 gens left? What, you expect the killer to let everyone survive until the gens are all done?
0 -
I wouldn't even bother with that person. They don't know what the (BAD WORD) they're talking about.
2 -
yeah.... that'll happen

So your entire strategy revolves around having four people still alive with one gen left and prays that the person holding the Key didn't hide it first. Good strat for losing as a Killer.
0 -
very rarely lose as a killer friend, even if they did you have one slugged and one hooked its rather easy to win from there 9/10 times. We dont need to talk about how easy it is to win as a killer in general thats a different subject entirely

Show me your games where you go from 0k to 4k with 1 gen left and a Key in play.
0 -
some of them are 2-3 gens left, its all about when you can force the bad situation with one hooked in your territory and the key carrier in your grasp

You have not demonstrated that any of these games fit the parameters that you yourself set. So try again. With video this time, in case it's not obvious. :P

I mean I said the approach I take but sure, the amount of points should demonstrate enough I spread the love. By any means by the outcry against keys in this thread and their OPness out no counterplay though i should not have stood a chance in any of these games. But I will try to look through and see if I have any video just for you. and if not ill make sure to record next time i see a key pop up.

Results screen pics don't say much of anything because they don't demonstrate the relative skill of the players involved. And I didn't say that games against keys were unwinnable. It's possible to win against blatantly OP things if the people using them lack skill.
0 -
I would argue that 99% of survivors suck but sure.
0 -
Well, the ones who don't can exploit the OPness of the Key better, then. :P

You realize that people can provide end results of 4ks when they tunneled a survivor out against keys as well.
2/3 gens left means you killed a survivor before the last gen was completed, which according to your tactic means... they can get the hatch earlier! What are you doing... you realize that it showcases nothing at that point, because even if you killed the key user in such a scenario the hatch would not have spawned!
Read my initial reply that provides you with exactly the reasons why tunneling out the key user can be effective. Leaving 4 survivors alive till the end game usually is already a liability, which is even worse if they have a key.
As it stands getting rid of one survivor early on is one of the most effective ways to win. Letting survivors with keys stay longer in the game makes it more risky as their efficiency is higher and they have a key for when ever you killed someone to move their goal closer!
The best option is to slug away, but that isn't what you are stating... just play the game casually against a key is more likely to make you lose!

You would be a fool with a survivor on hook in 2nd stage in your house and the key holder on the ground to not go for the throat...which is what i said in the text of the post you referenced. And there were that many gens left because i was able to apply pressure to everyone no tunneling one out. And yes i very much said slugging is the way to go? Just not the whole time because that doesn't make for a fun game. and a SS of endgame with 32k points means i certainly didnt tunnel anybody so sure it does, but like i said to the other guy ill record games till i get one against a key.

Key can end a match quickly. cucking you from a 4k down to maybe a 1k..
they can just hide at the last gen and find hatch. then escape..
