This MMR is great for killers with a chase power, and miserable for killers who don't (RANT)

I played ~15 Blight matches with MMR on and had a blast. Every game felt like a real challenge, and I frequently got 2Ks rather than the constant 4Ks I got before. I actually felt challenged and engaged.

Then I played a Pig match, when I hadn't played Pig in months. Gens started flying but I managed to bring the game back and get a 3K with her busted add-ons + slowdown perks. It wasn't fun and I didn't feel like I deserved it but whatever, MMR is technically doing its job. Then I played another and got stomped by a 4 man comp team, ended up getting a 1 hook 0K while using 4 slowdown.

I'm not gonna lie and say I'm a good general killer player, because I'm not, I'm a Blight one trick. But if someone like me were to pick up a new killer and attempt to learn them, only to get demolished or have to resort to OP perks and add-ons to even get a few kills, that's a huge turnoff.

TL;DR: I don't want to have to sweat my balls off every match, even as killers I'm good with. The sweaty Blight matches are going to get boring after a while, and lower tier killers are in hell. MMR isn't a good thing.

Technically, every killer is counted separately for MMR purposes.

And yet I'm still being placed with sweat squads despite being ass with Pig.

Because MMR is a flawed system. At least with the previous system, we had some idea of what was going on. Here it is completely opaque.

yeah ok but lagosta is correct, its on a per killer bases hence you cant change killer anymore once you started looking for a match with that killer.

Sure you are being based noe with high level players as a pig and lord knows how the algorithm as worked that one out for you, but the point is, dont sweat it, play how you like, if you do poorly with your average non try hard builds and non try hard tactics, then you simple will be skill-ranked down as pig and get put up against consistently lower skill survivors so you eventually get fair challenging matches.

That is the entire point of the MMR

In this MMR test they said that they changed how they're handling the MMR score for killers that are new. I'd be willing to bet that even with pig, because you haven't played with her very much it doesn't have the right MMR for you and has set you too high. Play 5 more matches with her than after that play an additional 3 and make a not on how you felt those games were. That should be a better test as to how the MMR holds up.

I'd also recommend against using her strongest add-ons while the MMR system is trying to determine your ranking otherwise once the MMR does settle it'll put you against groups that can best counter those add-ons.

That's bc of your previous history playing Pig in red ranks. Let's be honest, it doesn't take much to reach red ranks and it basically pooled people with thousands of hours along with fresh first-timers.

Something similar happened when Dowsey acquired 200+ wins on Twins and proceeded to have a 2 hour queue time on the SBMM test bc no survivor scratched came close to his internal rank.

My advice? Play Pig with non-sweaty builds. If you lose, your internal score will be lowered and you will be matched against more fair competitors.

Thank the morons that came on here using killers they never play and posting pictures of full rank 20 lobbies as a rank 1 killer. The devs now estimate your ability with the other killers compared to your main killer and plop you in unfair matches with them.
