Paranoid Conspiracy Theorist Rants About New Killer
I emerge from my hibernation to say a couple things about the debate for Springtrap, Candyman and Pinhead being the new killers. Obvious clue number one: the Red Herring. DBD Twitter posts an image of a Red Herring and then posts some pretty cryptic stuff about what is assumed to be Pinhead. People point out stuff like it perhaps spelling Hellraiser in the background, but all of this could be invalidated by that one tweet. Number two: The reveal is on Friday the 13th. Either the DBD team thought it'd be a fitting date, but I think otherwise. It's too much of a coincidence to be true. And number 3: the F13 lawsuit. The team wanted Jason in the game since launch, and a lot of people did too. But recently the lawsuit ended, and that ignited a little bit of talk in the community, and nothing else. Nobody thought about it and I think I'm the only one to connect the dots here but hear me out: the new killer is Jason Voorhees. I may be wrong, and that's fine, but I wanna be the first to put it out there that the new killer could be Jason.

What if they couldn't get license for Jason but instead we get license for his mom as a killer? 😲

The main reason I don't think it's Jason is because I feel he's one of the few licenses that feels fitting for an anniversary. I don't think they'd put such a major license (at least in these days of dbd) into the middle of the year.

I'd argue that the main issue is, that the lawsuit has ended far too recently for ol' Jason to be ready and finished to go. I'd give it a year.
Also I am sitting in the first class of the Hellraiser hype train and I cannot be helped.

They will easily miss that opportunity.
Pride month was an opportunity to add Robin from Stranger things as legendary outfit because she is gay. But they added Jonathan Byers.
Greek collection was an opportunity to add white robe outfit for Jeff, so weared with crown he would look like Jesus. But they added another pants and jacket.

There hasn't been any official statement about the F13 lawsuit ending, just the hearsay musings of Cory Feldman. So I doubt the lawsuit is even over let alone they'd have enough time to get Jason in the game.
For me personally I would be overjoyed if it is a Hellraiser or Candyman chapter but as long as the killer power is good I'm cool with whoever.
