Better fit than Pinhead

Hey, really hoping that we see Pinhead in DBD at some point, but i really am struggling to see how they fit in the lore.

I would have thought that while no where near as iconic, Uncle Frank would be a much better fit and looks utterly badass in the process.

i guess the question is; how would you feel if there were a Hellraiser chapter and Uncle Frank was to be announced as killer?

    The fact that I had to google who uncle frank was is I think telling enough.

    Plus he just does not look unique, just a dude or more or less freddy but in a suit.


    Pinhead and other Cenobites have a distinctive recognizable design.

    I also see no reason to struggle with fitting this in the lore.... Beings from another dimension, Demons to some, Angels to others who bring suffering, seems like an ideal candidate for the Entity to swoop up for her trials.

    I wonder if they both are going to give "psychological torture" to the survivors. thinking like a new version of Doctor and Pyramid Head.

    There were rumors that the killer might be bloodthirsty and honestly i thought about Sweeney Todd. too bad we're not going to see him coming.

    Frank was always the villain of the first movie; the Cenobites were just doing their jobs and were almost heroes at one point. I guess it’s just that they were far more marketable, as it seems has been proved by the last 8 movies!

    Have a rewatch of Hellraiser, you’d be surprised how little screen time the cenobites actually get!

    I think Pinhead can fit perfectly fine. It'd just be akin to how Pyramid Head works. The Entity can probably entice him by giving him access to victims that he can torture indefinitely.

    I like Frank, and he'd definitely fit the game mechanics better, but despite how cool he looks skinned, he's no Cenobite. As someone mentioned above, he's a great character that's integral to the first two films but he's not the one on the poster.
