I am losing hope in this game, not due to the game itself... (Yep, it's a rant)
but due to the community. This day was absolutely the worst I had and I am done playing.
I just need a challenge to down 6 Survivors with a hatchet from Huntress, a killer that I am not playing a lot and has almost no perks and what do I get due to SBMM: 4 meta perk survivors who play like they are in a tournament 24/7.
I would be fine with that build, play how you want, but when you straight up insult and spam the killer to death afterwards then there is something wrong with you. Same thing goes for the killers that do the same to someone just cause they are good at looping.
The best I got was 5 downs and what do I get: Survivors calling me a "Big fat piece of ######### ass garbage" for getting a good map, which is not even in my control.
Why is this community so obnoxious so often? Why am I seeing so many killers or survivors straight up insulting so many people recently? Is really nothing being done about this, cause I ain't seeing a change in this soon.
I made a post recently about how a nurse tunneled someone for being gay. This kind of harassment happened twice more recently! One where a survivor called a killer "######### gay pig that should burn in hell" and another one that refused to unhook a David for "he is gay, they shouldn't be allowed to live".
I hope that all of you who read this have better matches, teammates and luck than I, because I wish no one the experience that I not only got today, but that I have felt generally over the past few months.
EDIT: I also do not know why SBMM is versing me against really, really, really good survivors. I am not a good huntress, why do I get them? These survivors are wrecking me really easy, so how did your system assume I could handle that?

I'm sorry you had to deal with these #########. The chat seems to have been getting a lot worse for me, too, so I feel you.

I certainly empathise with your experiences and am very sorry you've come across some of these arseholes. They are very rare my end, but they've come up and are the dregs of the dregs of a tin can filled with dirty water.
Things are done about them. There are, however, 2 points to make: #1. We aren't privy to know what happens to them. I'm not gonna pretend I know exactly why (some legal reasoning, possibly), but they can't tell you the results of the enquiry. It's very frustrating, but understandable. It'll be great to have some showing in numbers of those who have been punished, mind. #2. Bigotry and moronicism knows no boundries. People feel protected in their ivory towers, defended by keyboards, controllers and cosy screens. Those people don't have the intellect to understand the damage to others, nor the potential punishments. But they are numerous in all games.
There are many decent guys out there, and I find reaching out to people has good results, although only if there's a reason to, as if there isn't it may be seen as insincere. Complimenting a good play or recollecting a funny or exciting moment gets better responses.
I just hope that you will find better people in future.

That's honestly why I turn off my chat and I just treat most players like bots. I usually give hatch for the last survivor, but the amount of slurs I've been called for the pettiest reasons isn't worth the one or two ggs.

Learning huntress can be a cruel experience, there's no much of a skill floor but a massive skill ceiling, I play DBD on console now and honestly having no chat is a god send, turn it off, you don't need to tell people gg, everyone knows when it was a gg.
