Should I stop doing my character polls

So this became really apparent with the new teases. People going after each other no matter the side for their respective character. Threats to people just because they want a certain character and vice versa. Unneccessary insults and antagonizing. It tears me apart seeing this stuff. But I digress. With all this stuff happening I wonder if my polls are or will incite this violence and if I should shut them down. I don't want to be a center of this #########. So should I shut these polls down.

    If I'm being honest it's going to happen regardless whether you make the poll or not. Now if you're just trying to not contribute to it? That's up to you mate. I think the character polls are a little over used personally as plenty of content creators already make them. It's nice to see them on forums once in a while though. I would maybe space them out like once a month or something. Constantly speculating can almost ruin the anticipation of the next DLC.

    EDITED* But I should emphasize I do like polls like these.

    People are gonna be that way either way just because it's the internet. So long as people aren't making credible threats to your or someone else's personal safety, it's all just talk and shouldn't be given much thought. In serious cases of harassment, that's up to the mods and staff to make sure things don't escalate that far- but petty insults or heated argument / debate isn't anything to worry about.

    The internet is always going to be the internet. It is what it is.

    There's really only 2 licenses that brings out that aggression, and one of those the devs have said they have no interest in adding to DBD. Just don't bother having those two in your polls should be fine. 😁

    @HaunterofShadows that is very thoughtful of you to think that way. However, I wouldn’t let it worry you because the series seems to be very enjoyable to you and it certainly is to a lot others. It’s fun to talk and debate civilly about what characters could fit in DBD.

    Again, I appreciate you concerning about keeping a good environment on the forums and I agree that people can get toxic about others opinions but truth is, people will be toxic about anything these days because unfortunately that’s just kind of how the world is.
