Why do people do this on the PTB?
Very consistently i am having survivors who insta-DC the second the game isn't going their way on the ptb. Why the hell do people do this? I can somewhat understand DC'ing in the base game, theres a variety of things you lose through a natural loss. Its stupid to do so but i get why people do it. But why on the ptb??? You gain absoloutely nothing on the PTB, nothing will stick until the live patch, no progress you make carries over, and no win or loss contributes to anything. So why do people DC and complain? Are some of our players really that butthurt when they lose?

People don't wanna have fun, some just wanna try to flex on people learning a new Killer...some want to be tryhard serious on the PTB. The world may never know

Some people playing in the PTB are dumb af.
I wonder why some of them genrush instead of let the killer chase them to see his power and try tactics to counter it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mean, the killer has a fairly consistent glitch that renders the game completely unplayable for a survivor unless the killer deliberately frees them. Obviously I don't know what happened in every instance you've seen people DCing, but you should expect even more DCs than usual with this PTB.

Said guy with ruin/undying/corrupt on ptb yikes. Literally nobody wants to play ptb against sweaty killers. Also no new content for survivors so address your critics to bhvr

If any of you are in SWF and one of them has a habit of rage quitting when ######### doesn’t go there way- you need to check that #########. I used to run with a squad and got tired of the “main” guy doing that and called him on his bullshit. I was the newest member. I told him to suck it up. I stopped playing with them for a few weeks and then he eventually apologized and he never rage quitted whenever I played with them after that. During my hiatus from them I noticed I was pipping like crazy and made it to purple ranks on my own. I enjoyed the concept of leveling up instead because the teammates were better and so were the killers. I didn’t mind losing to players who were actually skilled and didn’t need to camp.
I stopped playing with those guys after a while and before you know it, I was in the red ranks via solo que. Got to the point where I no longer played with them but kept them on my friends list. They forever stayed stuck in the lower green ranks, while I climbed out. They were all day 1 players to, while I came a month after Legion dropped.
I say this because when I look at OP’s screenshot, it just tells me someone is a big baby and the other 3 are sheep following. Don’t be sheep. Speak up. They’re just going to drag you and keep you down in lower ranks with them because of their sense of entitlement. Fellas, don’t be white knights either, playing with a Princess who can’t handle being downed first, so she ragequits and expects you to follow in protest.
Sorry you had to deal with that OP- especially in a PTB. So stupid. People’s egos, man. They know they have nothing to lose. They’re idiots though, because that’s the best time to learn how to deal with him. Why wait till he goes live and try to figure him out then when players like you have become acclimated to his power and play style?

The only reason I DC from matches is if I get the invisible hook glitch, because it renders me unable to do anything for the entire trial unless Pinhead jumps through hoops to free me, which half the time doesn't even work.

Everything you just said is why people dc so freely. If I was an entitled survivor or killer main that stomps his feet when things don't go my way, I'd quit every single time because there's no penalty. I don't get any real blood points either so what's stopping anyone from dcing?

We'd need to know how the actual match went. You said nothing about it except very general remarks about the game not going their way. There are some severe bugs right now in the ptb. If they were being affected, dc'ing is logical in the ptb.

- No DC penalty on the PTB.
- No progress on the PTB so losing bloodpoints or pips is even more irrelevant than usual.
- Most people don’t care about winning because it’s just a place to test new stuff and find bugs.
- Survivor queues are instant and killer queues are long so they can get in the next match almost immediately.
I think it’s dumb to dc on the PTB, game-breaking bugs notwithstanding, but the PTB is hugely chaotic anyway. I know killer queues are long which makes it annoying, but at least you didn’t actually lose anything - none of it carries over and you get to test stuff before they dc so the match basically served its purpose.

Yeah a lot of people do that but there is a lot of bugs so one or two could of been affected by that.
I dc'd once as I got face camped and tunneled ON THE PTB like bro, I usually don't dc cause of that but I had nothing to lose and I'm going in trying to verse the new killer and have a good time then that happens? Nah man.
Btw, he wasn't struggling. Was actually winning the game on Hawkins so really there was no reason to do it.
(Incase anyone is wondering I'm not an entitled survivor main. I play both sides equally, so I'm not whining to whine).

And who are you to perk shame me? I was testing a variety of builds, that game i was running the best slowdown i had to see if the chain hunt had synergy with ruin if i ran the iri lament config. Its a test ground you whiny baby, of course im going to run a variety of different builds. This includes ruin undying. It wasn't even tier 3 ruin either, because i didn't have him leveled enough.

People do it because there is no punishment in PTB for leaving a game you don't want to play. The most inconsiderate thing is it's the players who wait 10-30 minutes to play killer that get hosed.
