With the ST chapter being retired will a "Splinter" be available for Demo?
If anyone doesn't know or remember "Splinters" were Ultra Rare offerings that allowed a player to play as a certain killer that they do not own. There's Black/Myers, Bone/LeatherFace, Glass/Pig, Muddy/Hag, Shock/Doctor, and Smoking/Freddy splinters.
So with Stranger Things being retired and unobtainable for players that don't have them already or new players would a Splinter be made for Demo to at least let players have that rare chance of playing as Demo?

Splinters are retired and will stay that way.

I think they were a huge source of bugs too

Splinters were retired a long time ago, and I doubt they'll make a return for this.

Probably not. Because that would involve them making a new stranger things item which it seems like they cannot do anymore.
I'm thinking they may end up making an original killer that is very similar to the Demogorgon. So they can kind of... re-use a power design for new players.

What are these splinters? I’ve only played the game for just over a year so I guess they retired way before that.

They were an old offering back in the day that allowed you to try a DLC like Micheal Myers for free without having to purchase the chapter they had them for all the Killers back than however they brought a lot of issues and because of it were removed. You'd burn one on any Killer and you'd spawn in as the Killer tied to the Splinter with no perks or addons.

Splinters were an INCREDIBLY old addon from back in the day that let you take the form of a killer you did not own, but only with their basekit. I used to have one for the cannibal before i prestiged. Essentially burning the splinter would spawn you as said killer, regardless of which killer you burned it on. Just with none of your perks and no addons. It basically let you demo DLC killers before you chose to buy them.

They were an old Ultra Rare offering that let you play as a killer you didn't own, without any perks or add-on's. "Black Splinter" = Myers, "Bone Splinter" = Bubba, "Smoking Splinter" = Freddy, etc.
I don't why exactly they were retired, but my guess is because they were pretty buggy and caused licensing issues.

It would be easier to just make a naked mole rate original killer with a tunneling perk and the ability to lunge.

Please god no, more offerings cluttering the bloodwebs to play a fairly addon dependent killer as just basekit..... No, please no

As others have said, Splinters are retired and will not come back.
Also, the main purpose of Splinters is to be a Marketing Tool - you can try out a Killer and if you like them, you can spend money on them afterwards. This would not be possible with Demo, you can play a game as him, and if you want this Killer, there is no option to buy it.
Lose-lose for both sides, BHVR does not generate any money by adding a Spliter for Demo and the player might have found a cool Killer they will not be able to purchase.
