I never imagined there would be a hacker party in DBD
Not once in my entire history of playing Dead by Daylight since 2016 have I encountered a hacker party. 4 survivors, all of them using cheats, clear as day. And naturally, once again, I can't bother myself to report them because the current report system is (still) outdated and too demanding to fill out and submit.
Oh well, let the cheaters continue to roam about, I guess. Hopefully, you will not run into them.

I have had one with 3 once, like a year ago on crossplay off PC. Went back to crossplay pretty quick lol
I tunnel mori’d the random with a prenerf ebony as spirit and they all instantly turned the hacks on and said it was “justified” in postgame chat
My experience has typically been the survivors don’t care if there is a cheater on their team and will even side with them if you were tunneling or camping

To be fair the devs are at fault too for making it so time consuming to do, and for not giving the reporter feedback for doing it, that part alone makes it not feel worthwhile.
Overwatch for example DOES tell you if your report has done something whilst not giving any specifics. That is sufficient.

I think I may have encountered my first cheaters this evening. Unless survivors can actually repair three gens in about a minute? Can you, is that a thing?

What I do:
1 Configured OBS and keep it ready for recording (no need to always record, since this might affect the game performance); OBS supports Hot-keys to Start/Stop recording
2 Publish those videos (unlisted) on youtube and paste the URLs in reports
3 Use software to workaround non-existing clipboard copy/paste when I need to paste video url or text
With Autohotkey it can be accomplished with:
^b::SendInput {raw}%clipboard%
4 Save hacker/cheater profiles and steam ids for a future reference

1 generator takes 80 seconds assuming the survivor hits good skill checks only.
When multiple survivors repair a generator there is -15% repair speed penalty for each survivor which makes it an inefficient way.
There also exists prove thyself which negates ^ and toolboxes (which increase repair speed) and brand new parts which allow you to instantly repair 25% of a generator.
It's entirely possible.

What DBD wants you to do:
- Report in post-game
- Have video evidence
- Open a separate website and find the report form
- Fill out the form which takes more than a few minutes
- Pray to God that once you submit the form, it actually goes through, because if it brings you an error, you have to refill the form again from scratch. The error happens more often than you might think.
How literally any other game does it:
- Report in post-game
- All done, congratulations, you just reported a cheater, we will let you know if your report had an impact.

It is outdated and demanding, you shouldn't have to use an external program to record evindence of someone cheating or else you get ignored, the mods should be able to check the logs of the game to be able to decide wether he was cheating or not. Counter Strike for example.

Yeah, because it's the player's fault there is no in-game recording feature in a game in 2021 that has been in games released in 2004 and even earlier, sure.

It's bad enough on PC and then add in even more hoops for us console players to get a damn recording...
It takes me longer to report a player than it does to play a match.

Yeah, and it is the games fault that the player is not using what they have to at least attempt to get something done.
From what I know, the system works just fine. A friend of mine reported some one for save file hacking and they were banned less than 24 hours later

I don't even know how I would submit video evidence of a cheater on console, which I play on. Any idea?

You could but i bet nobody does. You would have to pull out your phone while you record the screen with one hand and play with the other one and then send that video from your phone to your pc and upload it to some web online to include the link to the ticket and you will probably have lost the interest in doing that some steps back and the cheater will continue.
