As a solo q survivor what do you do when you feel the match is doomed from the start?

Do you still try even if it is most likely pointless, completely give up or something else? I know it depends on situation and that you can also be wrong. Most of the time I still try but at the end I feel like I wasted a lot of energy on lost cause, because depips also happen anyway. What do you do?
