Michael Myers |Talking about the issues he has and why they are such big issues|
Michael Myers, a.k.a The Shape, A.K.A stalky boi, a.k.a pichael dyers, is the first licensed killer in dbd and I wanna talk about him today because I feel like this is important to talk about
Michael is a killer that has alot of design flaws to his power that used to work back in the day, but in the current times for dbd he has lost what he once had.
Issues
Michael used to florish back in the day due to how the game didn't have alot of perks and the meta was entirely different back then, however now that we have over 20 killers and 6 pages worth of killer perks (I know this as I recently got Demogorgon to have all 6 pages filled), he isn't exactly strong anymore and his power is outclassed by everyone else.
Michael is a chase orientated killer, who has to work to get himself stronger and then eventually gain tier 3 to instadown survivors for 60 seconds (Changed with add-ons). His issue is that he is all chase but his chase power is heavily weighed down by how survivors have a limit to how long you can stalk a survivor, and his power is (iirc) the only power in dbd that cannot gain 8k deviousness without add-ons.
Stalking and time efficency
Michael has to stalk to gain tiers, however how long it takes at certain ranges weighs down on him alot and due to how his power is, you have to be able to stalk the survivors up to tier 3 to have his actual power. The issue with this is that well, you spend alot of time going to tier 3 and with some add-ons, it can take way longer to hit tier 3, so you will lose alot of generators just by trying to apply pressure due to his lack of mobility. He also has alot of maps where stalking is very iffy and corn maps are dreadful as him.
Chase
His chase, even in tier 3, isn't that great. His tier 3 exposes all survivors, extends the lunge, and lets him vault quicker for 60 seconds, sounds good until you realize that his tier 3 is basically just a normal chase, but with exposed. Compared to other killers, he is outclassed heavily. Wraith's extended lunge is incredibly helpful and is a speed boost out of cloak, allowing lunges longer than Michael's lunge, spirit follows this as well. Blight is both mobility and chase, Clown has a slow down, which can actually make survivors lose alot of distance at times, and so much more, and I am not even talking about add-ons. His power is incredibly outdated and doesn't fit in dbd now because...every other killer does what he can do but better.
add-ons
His add-ons are incredibly outdated, with a purple add-on that doesn't punish you for getting a free kill at all outside of losing tier 3, a combo with a UR and Rare allows him to get tier 3 very quickly permanently, all of these add-ons made sense back then but now they don't, his add-ons are not meant for current dbd and need to be revised.
Conclusion
Michael is outdated in multiple regions of his power due to power creeps by other killers and other killers just being better than him, even with an exposed ability he can't close the distance as well as other killers and his "counter part" ghostface can expose survivors while being undetectable, allowing him to get closer to survivors than Michael usually can. What Michael needs is a full rework and add-on pass to keep him relevant

Just give him a free shirtless cosmetic and survivors will start dropping like flies.

You have a point, survivors will be like moths to a flame with him

I enjoy Mike and perform quite well with him but I agree he could use some changes as I personally just run Hair Brush/Bow with memorial flower/myers memorial. I hate the fact I can only hit evil within a limited amount of times as that's his power. Only killer that has a limit like that to his power. Also why the hell can't he stalk through corn those maps are dreadful with him. Now what I do like is his add-ons allow him to change the way the game is played. I love that about him there are so many different ways to play him. I just hope if/when they update him the Mirrors stay. I like them both.

I don't think he needs a full rework just some improvements. He can't have any different power. We just need to make early game not as bad and make Tier 2 be a good tier until you can go tier 3. You are right he is a chase focused killer and we should keep that aspect by making that aspect stronger. He's supposed to be this Unstopable Evil.
Wraith's Lunge after cloack is not better than tier 3 Myers Lunge. Myers can very quickly mind game you and hit you while Wraith has to uncloack at the right time and place and might even need to bodyblock to prevent survivors from reaching safety, so you're doing more work than Myers. Wraith is hopping people Camp Pallets to get a mindgame and since pallet hit validation has been changed, most likely due to how he was getting hits on pallet campers, you're now safer against Wraith if you're pallet camping. You don't wanna pallet camp against Myers or Ghostface tho. As a Ghostface main i mind game every single pallet that has an LOS block and that's how i get more downs.
Why should Tombstone Piece Punish Myers more than it already does? He can only use it twice during a match and you need extra stalking already. You want more Punishment than wasting more time when time is the single most important aspect of playing killer...And the FullbStone requires tremendous amount of stalking, that's alot of time of literally doing nothing but starring at someone's butt, again you're trading time for a gigantic power up to make the late game advantageous to you.

All he needs is an addon rework and a buff at Tier 2

**Addon rework, Stalk limit and stalk speed rework

I think you're missing a few points from this.
- Myers has a limit on how many times he can use his power per match.
- THIS IS HUGE. No other killer in the game has a limit to their main power. After Myers loses this, he becomes an M1 killer with a small terror radius for the rest of the game.
- Myers' stalk distance mumbo jumbo, attacking, the fact that he doesn't actually have to "stalk."
- Myers' stalk distance having a penalty encourages him to get closer to survivors and potentially expose him, however, being close to survivors means that you typically want to attack them. The problem with this is that if you attack or grab them, you gain no Evil to use your actual power. You're being forced into a lose-lose scenario. If you're in chase with survivors, you're also not stalking them. They can see you. Myers can just slowly build up Evil on survivors that are clearly aware of his presence. The forced interactions between Myers and survivors (and lack thereof) feel pretty bad on both sides. Encourage Myers to actually stalk people, and allow him to gain Evil from injuring or grabbing.
- 99%-ing Evil Within is inconsistent and feels sloppy.
- Tier I and Tier II are effectively pointless.
- Especially Tier I, as once you tier-up, you cannot revert to Tier I. This feels like a waste of the Tier system as Myers is encouraged to get out of Tier I as quickly as possible. Tier I and II need substantial changes and Myers should have the freedom to use all three of his Tiers.
(shameless plug) I had a few ideas for how to fix his issues (add-ons not included). If you think of any more problematic features of his be sure to leave an update.
1 - Myers has a limit on how many times he can use his power per match.

I like Myers concept, its unique and extremly fun to play and verse, but you are right, he feels outdated and also weak.
It takes to long to gain tier 2 and his tier 3 is not that scary 2bh.
Changes
- Stalk capacitiy should reset after tier 3. With that i mean after tier 3 every survivor is fully stalkable again.
- Tier 2 should not take that long to gain.
- Distance stalking is fine in my opinion, but they should buff it significantly, when he is close up.
- Make tier 3 a bit more powerful. Give him a build in Brutal Strenght so he can get rid of pallets quicker.
