Why don't more survivors use Premonition against Tinkerer?

This is just a general question, but with the meta shifting toward Ruin/Undying, Tinkerer, why aren't more survivors running Premonition?

It detects stealth killers, and while it isn't as specific as Spine Chill, it can help better predict a Tinkerer killer and always gains value.

    Premonition has problems though. It has a long cooldown that holds the perk back and it doesn’t give you the information whether the killer is actually coming to you or not.

    Because Tinkerer's strength is the information it gives, the Undetectable is just a bonus

    And there is not much a survivor can do to stop a killer gaining that information if they pair it up with slow down

    Because spine chill gives you buffs when the killer is looking in your direction.

    Premonition does nothing other than notify you that the killer is looking your way which Spine Chill does without a cool-down.

    I've heard that Premonition is better somehow for giving you a guaranteed notification that the killer is heading your way but I'll be honest with you I've never had any issues when running Spine Chill so yeah. I'll keep the bonus to actions from Spine Chill.

    I really wish they'd buff Premonition somehow. Maybe make it flash the killers aura to you for a split second like you're having an actual premonition of impending doom as the killer is coming your way but if you don't watch closely you don't see it (Aura reveal is always a touchy subject on here especially killers not wanting more ways to be revealed but I think auras are criminally under explored on BOTH sides).

    I use premonition. In fact I think I'm one of the 3 people in red ranks the actually use premonition. Even though I use premonition it had really bad downsides.

    1. the cooldown is way too long. Which makes it really annoying and tiresome to use

    2. It's really prone to false positives. As others have said even though you know the general direction that the killer is you don't really know if they are coming for you or not. It's a gamble on weather or not they are coming and I have wasted so much time thinking the killer was coming for me based on premonition only to realize they are on someone else. This problem also goes hand in hand with the cooldown problem and makes it worse.

    3. Premonition is currently bugged at the moment making it a bit useless sometimes.

    Imo spine chill is still the best choice over premonition but I still perfer it since it does have benefits that I like and perfer over spine chill.

    I always wonder why survivors don't use tinkerer's true counter.

    Just 69% all the gens after which you win the game and life in general
