Pigs traps should start during end game collapse
It doesn't make sense for people to escape with a bear trap on and it goes against saw itself I'd love to see this buff come honestly as it would add a little spice to pig

I think it used to work that way, that survivors couldn't leave with a trap on their head at all and if they tried then they'd head pop. I'm guessing survivors complained and it got nerfed to how it works now.

I would love for Pig to get some buffs.
This ain't it chief.

It was changed when the EGC was introduced.

Wait.. you're telling me they don't go off after all gens are popped? Jesus I've been playing her wrong for a while. She is now officially dumpster-tier as a killer. Her niche was extending the end game and punishing people that rush gens and leave, but now.. wow, she is maybe the worst killer or near the bottom.

How come? If the open gates are open shouldn't it be like a gen?

Because it wouldn't make her stronger, it'd just make sure more annoying during EGC.
She'd still suffer at pressure and getting downs, all that changes is now she can secure kills super hard in EGC. It'd be a buff focused in the wrong area.

Just to make it clear, they will die if they pop if the helmet is active. So if you put a trap on their head and immediately after they pop a gen, they have no choice but to try and take it off or look for hatch. But if you put it on after the last gen pops, then yes, they can walk out of the gate.

Noed, Infectious fright to constantly down Survivors and trap them. Then casually open gate to trigger EGC and trap. Then down someone and hook them with Bloodwarden when EGC is about to end.

Traps start counting down when a Gen is done, so if you trap someone and the last Gen done, it will count down.

Ah I see, I rarely play her unless I have a daily. She’s bad to play and that’s the only way I’ll play her but my build with her is end-game oriented and now realize why Jeff’s helmet wasn’t bleeping after I threw it on his head when the last gen finished. I love BHVR! Nerfing useless stuff since 2017!

Yeah but I remember her old builds were centered around playing NOED and bear traps with the endgame. She’s bad now!

I see. I haven't played her yet im actually in the process of leveling her up. Thanks for the insight

Oh, no problem. Good luck with Piggy.

Just use an RPD offering. Going against Pig is miserable on that map. Just show mercy if you see a Claudette with purple pants and an Afro.

It most certainly is it. Just with the caveat that the EGC timer is paused while a Trap is active so the Trapped Survivor isn't screwed. You know, like how it used to be before Pig was nerfed.

They really should. Just make it so that while someone has an active bear trap on the egc timer slows down as if someone was slugged/hooked.

Pig main here. This would be really unfair lol
You could just camp them at the boxes and they'd actually have no hope of escaping. I'm sorry but that doesn't seem fair. If I want to be a bully with traps like this I use Tinkerer because it'll tell you when to put traps on a survivor instead of thinking you have time to go patrol/defend.
One active RBT during the EGC is already harsh enough on that one, poor, unfortunate soul but the ability to apply active RBTs to anyone downed during EGC would be weird.. We don't need Pigs doing an extreme end game build where they save all their traps for EGC + Blood Warden probably NOED too.
Reverse bear traps are meant to slowdown the game, not snowball the end game.
The only change I could get behind is if RBTs became active after someone opens the Exit Gate. I actually don't know why this doesn't count as a generator being popped or "progressing the game" as DS will not deactivate if you work on the exit gate with it
