why are nemesis' zombies allowed to go into the basement? (RANT)
title, this is like the third time tonight ive been trapped in the damned basement because for some reason the zombies can come down into the basement and litterally trap you.

Because as survivors zombies are actually competent. If you were that Nemesis though the zombie would get stuck in a corner somewhere

facts.

i dont mind it. it only really will affect you if nemmy is campin or tunneling. if ur not infected just take the hit and speed boost. you can also lead them to one side of the stairs and run out the other

thats the problem, i am infected and injured. so its either go down to the zombie or stay stuck in the basement.

Because ai helpers weren’t thought out well at all

Your teamate should have taken a hit for you, sure the zombies can feel like bull but its entirely the unhookers fault if they don't protect you against a zombie waltzing into a basement. If you're the one unhooking, its a bad idea to be unhooking injured in the first place. You can also lead the zombie over to the center hook and loop around it and exit the basement. Unless the nemmy is hardcamping the basement, the zombie is slow and stupid and can be easily circled around the hook.

i know, in hindsight i should have done. its honestly infuriating though, that feels cheap af tbh.

Can't you bait it around the Basement Hooks?

small correction, its either go down to the zombie or be stuck in the basement long enough for him to come right back.

Zombies retain collision and have reduced cooldown.
Everything else you said boils down to a jUsT-aDaPt type of (non)advice.

The zombie A.I when you’re playing survivor is CRAZY. Whenever I’m being chased by Nemesis, they always seem to be in the PERFECT spot, hiding behind some structure- waiting to ambush you. I can also be on a gen that’s miles away from Nemesis and somehow these ######### come out of nowhere and chase me off.

same man, i cant even tell you how many times ive gone down because theres a ######### zombie around the corner and i get whipped then downed by the ######### zombie.

You literally can "just adapt" to a lone zombie though. Their AI is completely nonfunctional and they move in very predictable ways, if you walk to the back of the basement you can just waltz around them since they move slower than a crouching survivor. A zombie in of itself also can't block the basement exit since its hitbox is about the same size as a survivor, so even if they do retain their collision your teamate can take a hit and you can run past while its in cooldown. Its perfectly good advice, i'd know since i main the damn killer. If nemmy is camping with the zombie though, yeah i don't have any advice, not much you can do about that.

And I literally got sandbagged by the female zombie in House of Pain yesterday.
I swear, every time I play Nemesis and chase a Survivor, suddenly a Zombie appears and blocks my path.

And if you walk to the back of the basement taking your sweet time to draw the zombie to a safe distance, do you know what happens, even if the killer is not camping? That they see the aura of the zombie aggro'ing the rescuer.
The fact that they cannot bodyblock the stairs is insufficient. The can just occupy enough space that walking past without both getting hit is unfeasible or nearly-unfeasible to uncoordinated teams.
Your advices are completely theoretical and non-functional. We can agree to disagree.
