Who has the worst bugs, killers or survivors?

This game is buggier than an entomologist convention, but who gets hurt worse by the bugs, killers or survivors?

I just had a game where I juked the killer and hid as the killer looked away I slow vaulted over a window and it gave me a fast vault knock sound, and I was found and killed. So annoying when you do the right thing and get penalized. As a survivor main I see this stuff all the time. How do you killers fare?

So you are saying on the killer side the bugs will affect one particular killer whereas one bug will affect all survivors equally. Killers can switch to another killer, survivors don't have that option.

Spirit is destroyed by bugs right now. Blight is destroyed by bugs to the point you have to learn all the bugged surfaces on the maps and how to move your camera to avoid phantom rushes (occurrences where you clearly hit the survivor buy the hit just doesn't count). All the killers are affected by the "hit validation tech" at pallets, that should be considered a bug. There is a place on Haddonfield where you can literally Dead Hard through a wall (!!!) and all the survivors are now aware of it and keep abusing it. Oh, and that infamous "Iron Will on the ground" bug that has lasted for 3+ years and is still in the game.

since we are on the topic of bugs though, i had a very strange bug happen to me earlier, i was cleansing dull totems, the killer had hex retribution, and the oblivious timer never went away so i was oblivious all game.

Like in a vacuum, survivors. In an qctual game, killer by far. Besides hit validation and stuff, i still remember tha breakout bug

Pretty obviously killer, survivors are not time reliant. Each teammate carries the game individually, meaning any time necessary things they need to do they split up amongst eachother. If killer bugs out, they don't have anybody to save them. That bug will ABSOLUTELY screw the match for them, guaranteed.

Well yes but also a survivor bug only effects 1/4 of the team and killers bugs tend to be more severe with things like not being able to use their power. Killers as a whole have more bugs as a whole.

Definitely killers. Survivor bugs get fixed quicker since they're easier to fix while killers can have bugs that only effect them and their powers individually which is harder to pin point the cause

I would say killer but there have been patches were survivors have been really buggy like the desync issue this year

It's gotta be killer. Phantom grabs, short lunge, fps drops when doing simple things like powering up with Oni, scratch marks disappearing instantly, etc.

Probably killer, and not necessarily because the bugs are worse, so much as the nature of a 4v1 allowing for less wiggle room. If you get hit by one, it sets you back.

Both sides have bugs. However I feel killer's are worse because they tend to be neglected or straight up ignored. Long time ago DS was bugged and it was fixed in a week. Nurse has been buggy since her rework nearly 2 years ago and the devs don't even acknowledge there's a problem.

Depends on which patch you’re talking about, lol. There have been some horrific bugs for survivors in previous patches, like infinite mending Legion, or getting stuck in hills, or when Sloppy Butcher would crash the game on console, or when survivors couldn’t be rescued from basement hooks.

Overall though I’d say killers typically have it worse because they all have individual powers with individual bugs. And since killers are solo, if they suffer a bug it can be totally game-breaking, whereas a small bug for one survivor isn’t necessarily the end of the world.

I still remember the hooking bug, which it wouldn't let you physically hook them even with mashing the input.

A lot of bugs with Nurse and Twins though. Once got Victor stuck on RPCD inside some boxes for a good 90 seconds.

All the killers are affected by the "hit validation tech" at pallets, that should be considered a bug.

Its working as they intended it to. The only drawback is you will hear the hit and see blood splatter. But look at the alterative. If killers had to wait for the server to report verified hits you would be hearing the hit and seeing blood splatter shortly after the actual hit animation ends. Wouldn't that be more jarring?

Killer because there are 24 of them with different powers, addons, synergy with perks, etc. All survivors are just reskins of Dwight and Meg so the gameplay is the same of 5 years ago, therefore it's less buggy. Most bugs you see fixed on the survivor side are usually cosmetic related.

Many of survivor bugs are related to perks which can just not be run (and most of the perk bugs have affected not very used perks anyways). And sometimes survivors get bugs like Wake Up that help them.

I think overall Killer have it worse when it comes dealing with bugs. With bugs that help survivors out or hurt their power.

Killer: The new pallet hit validation, Sound bugs, specific killers being bugged. As survivor i never experience any annoying bugs tbh. Maybe Exhausted on the ground with DH but thats it.

Given that it can roll back hits that it should such as hitting the survivor in the back as they drop a pallet in front of themselves.

Its also been proven to have brought back a form of pallet vacuum too so yay...

Roll back is the wrong term. The hit never happened besides on your client. In the grand scheme of things the survivor stunded you thus you couldn't of hit the survivor. That includes survivors in front of a pallet.

If blood splatter and hit sounds waited for server side validation you would have no argument. You feel upset about stolen hits because your client says you hit, played a sound, and the server said it never happened.

But the consequence of waiting for server side validation is delayed feed back on hits. Which would make the game feel worse overall.
