It happened again...
Once again, we absolutely destroy a killer all match but he still ends up getting a 4k all because of 1 perk... and I'm sure you can guess which perk I'm talking about....

Your teams fault for being lazy, especially if you were all able to destroy the killer. Next time do bones

It could easily be NOED or Blood Warden, but I'm guessing NOED.
As much as I hate NOED, unless you were all grouped up-- Which is a terrible idea anyway, the way you counter NOED, other than just doing totems, is leaving the second you realize a killer has NOED. You shouldn't have all gone down unless your team messed up.
Also, "absolutely destroying" a killer during the match doesn't mean you earned an escape or anything. The game isn't over until you walk out the exit gates or die.

Likewise, if one person goes down that makes sense, but you all played very very poorly at the end if everyone went down.

I love it. The great mystery of "destroying a killer" with leeway to ease up but no time to search for bones or exit immediately.
And then the mysterious 4k when the killer didn't manage much DURING the gen phase while getting "destroyed".
🤔

They got 4k because you refused to leave.
Not everyone has to escape.
11 -
NOED? Remember Me? Blood Warden? No Way Out?
Either way, you sure destroyed them - It will be a grand tale to tell The Entity as you float off into oblivion.

Exactly. Noed ONLY ever activates on M1's. Unless you are majorly grouped up, or doing a terrible job at saving any slugs, the killer will have to pull off some crazy stuff to get a 4k with noed. You can just leave, and i get that feels bad but a 3 man escape is better than a 4 man death. Either that or equip Detectives hunch and spend a few seconds premptively getting rid of bones, its good BP too.
4 -
Don't feed the NOED, if you stomped them and find out there's NOED then open the gate and gtfo. If it was Blood Warden then just leave when the killer slugs during egc to wait out the timer.
2 -
Memorizing spawn locations can help you against NOED every single time. take this mission to cleanse if you don't trust your team.
It happened to me several times that I and another teammate did "Totem hunting" and at the end game bar, we saw this sad perk. it's really worth it at the end.

When you say, "destroyed a killer all game" do you mean everyone outplayed them in chase and they couldn't catch anyone and had chases that lasted minutes at a time, or do you mean, you did all 5 gens in 3 minutes? Cuz I would only classify one of those as "destroying" and Noed activates on both.
Don't get me wrong. Noed is bullshit, but gens are bullshit too.
3 -
If you absolutely "destroyed" the killer during the match and he still gets a 4k during the egc, then you just got absolutely destroyed. Noed shouldve granted them 1 kill max if you played it smart.
5 -
Have you considered playing around it ? Like killers play around at least 8 perk each game that each survivor might or might not have.
7 -
*held m1 until all gens were completed*
"We absolutely destroyed the killer!"
13 -
God it’s like people that aren’t a part of the Bush just don’t know any better.
2 -
Looks like killer "absolutely destroyed" you :D
5 -
If you're whooping a killer always assume they have noed and get all the totems done before the last gen is done.
2 -
If you activate the exit gates with 4 people alive and you somehow manage to all four die then that is 100% your fault. Multiple methods of counterplay were available. Sacrificing a team mate and escaping with 3 people, cleansing totems, not being greedy.
4 -
We have an agreement in our group if NoED is live we all just leave. Let the killer get his one kill. Devour Hope is much better.

Monstrous Shrine?

This. Im a trapper main. I learned long ago you can't save them all. If I got someone in the basement and traps setup, I want you to be altruistic. Even if you manage to make a save I WILL get someone to trade places. Maybe even 2 for 1. It's sometimes better to cut your loss's.
1 -
This. Lots of whiffing hits, leaving chases often, easy to 360, not sure how to mind game or run tiles, they almost always have noed. Also frosty eyes or pumpkin heads have noed.
0 -
Looks like that killer destroyed you instead.
2 -
Why'd y'all let that happen?
1 -
Sometimes it is, though I think it's way more fun to go for the save. So I get it. Plus there's always points
I remember a Trapper Game I had on Haddonfield. Got 3 hooks before end game. 2 were on the same person, and i killed them at the end. So this was a 3-man escape, right? You'd think so. They didn't open the exit gates. I trapped them. Found a survivor, downed them, hooked them in the basement. Went around the map looking for someone else, eventually caught one of them in a trap going for the basement save while I was chasing the other survivor (I left the chase to go back to the hook because it was house of pain, but that person was the obsession, so they probably thought I was still chasing her). I hook THEM in the basement, only for the last survivor to be coming for the save... and step in the last trap I had up there for the 4K. 6 minute end game, they could've left earlier. Hopefully they at least had some fun, maybe a good laugh.

NOED is cheap, but we just gotta deal with it. Maybr we'll get some changes in the future.

To get a 4k with noed in the endgame, I am 100% sure your team made a mistake at the end as for that to happen the following must have failed
-Breaking 5 totems
-Noting that the killer has NOED and splitting up
-being too altruistic
If you destroyed the killer like you said, then that means you guys 100% had time to go totem busting
3 -
I've had games where we did great, but died because I couldn't find that last totem. It's not so easy in solo and on indoor maps. I do agree the killer shouldn't have got a 4K, though.

Or maybe they were just solo Q and there was a blendette in their team not doing much, so no time to do gens and bones with a dead weight on their team

Which is why I shall gift the entirety of forums with 3 perks
Trust me, these are a lifesaver, I love using Detective's hunch and Counterforce as it helps me throw away Undying and Ruin constantly
2 -
Not everyone will have those perks (except small game).
1 -
The killer is not happy when 3 people walk out. Just concede the measly 1k instead of risking it snowballing into a 4k.
After enough (unsatisfying) 1k games they will swap NOED for gen slow down perks like nature intended.
4 -
small game is still a good perk for detecting totems tbf, I just posted all 3 due to the fact that they all do 1 purpose, find totems easier
Small game alerts you of it being in view and even has a totem counter

I had a survivor game on the swamp. The killer was a trapper. All randoms. The gates were open(this was before EGC was a thing) 1 person in the basement and everyone else was healthy. I'm standing at the open gate waiting to see what the other 2 are doing. As they proceed to the basement on the boat the trapper finds and chases 1 person. The 3rd survivor then goes for the save but they soon step in a trap. Then the 2nd survivor the trapper was chasing gets downed. He walks back to the 3rd, picks them up and puts them in the basement. Then he picks up the 2nd survivor he downed and puts them in the basement. I left. Then they yell at me for not helping. I told them "You lost the moment you went down there. I know that trick cause I've done it numerous times! You turned a 1k into a 3k. Even if I had helped and rescued the hooked survivor you gave him 2 more hooks. We would have been in a worse position than before"
1 -
OP said they destroyed the killer. Therefore they should have had plenty of time to do bones.
Whether or not they had a Blendette that was useless is irrelevant. Even if they did, it isn’t a problem with the perk, but rather, a problem with a bad player.
1 -
a 4k sounds more like the killer destroyed them lol ... along with the mmr they'll be starting with next week so it'll boomerang back to em anyways. thankfully my zappy zappy doc style of one hooking for bbq will actually reward myself and he oughta remain playable as is. I got a little carried away on wraith though so he probably won't be enjoyable any more. I didn't play too many other killers too many times since coming back last year so I have no clue how it'll affect them or whatever the 'baseline' will be but anyways to Opie that killer just screwed himself for down the road so don't give him rent-free space inside your head.
I had matches like that too when alone since I only got 3 or 4 bones in the match and apparently nobody else cared about those. It happens. it's also a necessary evil if you don't want ridiculously long survivor queue times or to play russian roulette every game wondering whether or not you will be the one they find first and camp to death or to get hook farmed or not.

Believe it or not, Noed does take a bit of skill on the killers part. The killer plays 90+% of the trial with only 3 perks, and there's a chance the 4th will never activate. Ensuring that NOED goes off at higher ranks requires you to exert enough pressure against the survivors that you force them to complete generators. Sure, that's the survivors main goal, but the Survivors know they're taking a dangerous gamble.
When I play like a complete donkey, NOEDs not going to do me any favors. Sure, NOED will let me get a 1K occasionally because I caught out a survivor who had previously looped me professionally all game and never went down once but you know what? I could have brought any other perk like perhaps Enduring or Starstruck and have gotten some immediate value that could have helped me out in the course of the match.

Killer had Thrill of the Hunt eh? damn shame. That ######### should get nerfed into the ground.
1 -
If you're absolutely destroying a killer and assuming the perk was NOED then you should have had plenty of time to do totems.
3 -
Imagine "completely destroying the killer". and completely failing when all you need to do is walk out... couldn't be me.
