That’s how totems work if you don’t like it run more consistent slowdown like pop or corrupt

Totems don't have to spawn ontop of the survivor objective. There are plenty of places for them to go. Hell there are totems on the outskirts of maps. Totems work by housing powerful perks. Them spawning next to the primary objective isn't a requirement for them to work. So no, spawning next to a generator isn't how Totems work. It's how they spawn which is an easy fix

They are definitely an issue on specific maps (mainly older ones) but they are inherently rng reliant and these complaints will never end because survivors will always sometimes spawn close or just happen upon one early

That still doesn't mean that they can't make it so dull totems or hex totems wont spawn ontop of a generator. They literally just have to move it. If they can program shifting map layouts, change loops. Im sure they can just not put totems next to an objective

But wouldn’t that make the situation worse? Think about it if I’m looking for ruin because I know the killer has it I just go to the areas away from gens and find it easily

No it wouldn't. Because it would still take more time to find a totem out in the middle of nowhere. Than it would by just going to a generator. Especially if it's a totem they don't know you have. Like a huntress lullaby, devour hope, the third seal, thrill of the hunt. The only time a survivor goes out of their way to get a totem is if it's right there next to them or if they know it's active. Ruin is active from the start. These other ones take time to power up. Why have them if they're destroyed with seconds because a survivor was doing the primary objective and saw it right next to it

First 10 seconds, I had to hustle to this thing and a survivor was on it. They didn't even have to attempt to find it. How is that fair? It's basically an automatic perk loss.
