With the introduction of sbmm and new ranks, will the pip system still be the same?

What i mean by that is, will be easier to pip up at ash ranks as opposed to gold or iri like it is now?

    Here's the most recent statement about pips with SBMM we got with today's dev blog.

    You can increase your grade by earning pips just like before, though there’s now a limit to how many pips you can lose.

    I wouldn't expect any significant overall to the pip system.
