Licensed chapter idea based on the movie: It Follows.

Killer: The Shapeshifter

Name: Unknown

Age: Unknown

Gender: Unknown

Hair Colour: Unknown

Eye colour: Unknown

Power: Shapeshifting

Weapon: Hands.

Speed: 115%

Terror radius: 10 m.

Origin: Unknown

Background:

Not much is known about this creature. All that is known is it follows, and it will not cease until it catches its prey. It could be anyone. A dark deal was struck with the entity, and the curse has evolved to more than just a single target. No one and nowhere is safe.

(Image is just for reference. I imagine its real shape to be a ghastly looking shapeshifted creature that's glitching into multiple things at once, but I couldn't possibly photoshop that. So ghost dwight will do)

Power: Paranoia.

The killer comes with the ability to shapeshift into the form of any survivor. The killer automatically takes the appearance of the survivors furthest away from them. When near another survivor, the killer keeps the appearance of that currently picked survivor, despite it not being the furthest away. To ensure, the killer doesn’t randomly change appearance in front of a survivor.

The killer starts off completely invisible with no terror radius. In the beginning of the game, the killer goes up to find any survivor and picks them as their target, once they look at them for more than 3 seconds while holding a specific button prompt, which will be shown on screen. Only the currently targeted survivor can see the killer/fake-survivor, but they will have to figure out for themselves who is the killer or not. The killer can do every survivor interaction.

Once the killer hits a survivor, the killer's true form gets revealed. A mix matched and morphed survivor like a rubik's cube trying to fix itself. Taking looks from all the survivors into one horrendous being. This way it can get prestiged and get cosmetics for it. Additionally their terror radius begins to play in a radius of 10 meters, until the survivor is healed or the killer switches target, in which it will return back into the shape of a normal survivor.

The killer can not hit any other survivors unless they switch targets to them. Other survivors can not interact with the killer at any point, see it, nor hear their terror radius. It's completely invisible to non-targets. Non-target-Survivors can only interact with the killer via pallets or flashlights. Which is hard when you don’t know where they are. Hitting the fake-survivor with a pallet/flashlight will reveal its true form for everyone for 10 seconds. After that it will return back to being invisible except to its target.

Once the killer downs a survivor, their next target is automatically switched to the nearest survivor (not including the hooked person obviously)

While in survivor form, the killer can sabotage generators, chests and totems, giving them a fairly difficult skillcheck that must be done. Failing the skillcheck will alert the killer with a sound, and if it's a generator it will regress a little.

Additionally while in the survivor form, the killer gains a second ability to tackle an unsuspecting survivor with a loaded up charge. Successfully performing this move, will apply the dying state to the survivor. Has a 25 seconds cooldown.

The killer comes with the ability to teleport to any locker on the map through other lockers. The lockers make a small commotion of sounds when this happens. Alerting any nearby survivor that a killer might be there. Has a cooldown of 40 seconds.

(This way other survivors can’t pinpoint the location of the killer, and unless they are close to each other in comms, they will have no way of knowing. Granted it's obviously more powerful against solo players and early game, but that’s the case for any killer. Which is why another power was needed. I am hoping this in turn will create an interesting fear and paranoia, where survivors must work together to communicate who is who. This was incredibly hard to balance and may still need fine tuning to be fair.

___

Mori: Grabs the survivor by both legs, splitting them open, before breaking the legs in each hand by pure strength in their opposite direction, as the survivor dies.

Killer Perks:

1. double-edged:

At the start of the match, all generators are blocked by the entity for 60 seconds. Meanwhile all totems and chests are now revealed to the survivors for 50/45/40 seconds, and their auras are shown to each other for 15 seconds.

2. Choose wisely:

Receive up to 3 tokens max with each generator finished. For each token, the next window you vault will be permanently blocked off by the entity. Vault windows (1%/2%/3% faster than usual)

3. Bone roots:

The 2 furthest away totems will be blocked by the entity for 85/90/95 seconds.

New survivor:

Name: Jay Heights

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Hair Colour: Blonde

Eye colour: Brown

Origin: USA

Background:

Jay was just an ordinary student, when one day a horrible curse had been brought upon her. An unending curse that would follow her forever and everywhere. Desperate to stop this curse, she tried to escape it, run away, and put it on someone else. Even kill it. It was never enough to stop it.

Survivor Perks:

1. Vantage point:

While carried by the killer, all nearby items are revealed to you in a proximity of 13/15/20 meters. Counts for chests, generators, pallets, totems and dropped items. (does not reveal killer traps)

2. Quick revive:

Consume a medkit to pick yourself up from the downed state. If you have no medkit, you can progress your downed meter up 5/10/15% faster. Requires you to recover to 99% before use. Medkit must have 50% of it charges left. Doesn't work with brown medkits.

3. Binding force:

Receive an auditory warning for whenever the killer starts a chase with another survivor at the beginning of the match for 35/40/45 seconds. Afterwards the perk slot locks.

New Map:

The park:

An outdoor map which includes an ominous playground and plenty of space to roam around.

Thanks for reading.

Ngl Double-Edged is kinda just way weaker Corrupt Intervention. Also, I hope that the killer can't attack at the beginning when they are still completely invisible and have no Terror Radius, as that would be kinda busted (essentially Spirit on crack at the start). Also, Quick Revive existing would incentivize every single survivor to only every bring medkits and this perk.

There's no the thing killer in the game yet. This is based on a real license, and that's just how the creature from It Follows works. Whether there's similarities is an entirely different topic, but so long as none of the licensed characters exists yet, it should not matter.

They can't attack while invisible. They need to take the shape of someone.

I changed quick revive to make a little more sense. I meant it to be at 99% recovery you could consume one. It is a little strong, but its basically just an unbreakable with an extra requirement. Except you could potentially get more use out of this one IF you have a medkit. May require some tweaking. Most killers just pick you up, so i'm unsure how much it actually changes the game, and if the killer uses franklins, it makes the perk useless. Same with if you wanna use the medkit for heals.

Double edged is a bit depending. If you don't use any totems in your builds, its pretty good. Since survivors can do zero progress on gens during that time, but I understand what you mean.
