The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

In your opinion, was Hit Validation a good thing?
Was hit validation a good change to the game? Or was the way it worked before better, where mistiming it could still cause a hit?
I personally prefered no hit validation, since a pallet wasnt safe till it was dropped, and landing a stun with it was a risk reward.

I don't think it was good and I don't think it is good now.

Last change was much better than what we had before, but still needs improvements (Mainly ghost hits)

I don't think I really noticed a difference between hit validation & no hit validation, however I do like the changes they made to hits through pallets.Just realized this is about hit validation for pallets. Yeah, I really like it.

The only thing they need to change is the ghost hit sound for the killer's perspective. But on the survivor side it has worked amazingly well. I can finally go for stuns again instead of having to pre-throw pallets because for some reason we can't see the killer's ping.

I've only been validated once, and it would of been a questionable poko hit anyway. So, I'm okay with it.

Survivor validation? Yeah, I think it is great and promotes camping pallets which is really the most compelling gameplay. I love how servers always decide the blood on my face was fake and how I rarely benefit from this change as a survivor because I am not gambling on whether the server prefers me by standing there like a doof. But thankfully when I can't quite make it to the pallet... It doesn't matter and I get rewarded for it. Top tier design.

I play Nemesis so it has no affect on me, so, pretty wonderful addition.

There haven't been very many good things in DBD in a few years. Bring me back to the first patch where they removed pallet vacuums.

I am surprised people didn't bump Nemesis up on their tier lists specifically because of this change. They will soon learn, it just takes a little extra time. Ha ha ha...

No because it did absolutley nothing

where do you guys see pallet camping? rank 20- 10's? because in red ranks i see no one camping pallets

It's pretty great, but I wish they'd get rid of the sound bug that goes along with it.

Hit validation I'm ok with. Pallet validation I don't like.

Honestly fine and working as intended I just hope they remove the fake blood and screams because it gives the feeling of being cheaped out from a hit or down

It doesn't even work the way they said it does so no.
Rank 1 and tournaments.

On the average match, dont really notice a difference. On the matches where the killer is obviously playing from Mars, definitely noticable as I no longer get downed from a chainsawing Bubba who would otherwise get stunned 10 seconds after downing me.

When I have a much better ping and the server receives the survivors pallet drop before my hit that's annoying. By the time I catch them again, that's potentially half progression towards 3 gens done.
If a survivor gets hit when they shouldn't have, it doesn't make much of an impact on the overall game.

Hit validation, no it's done basically nothing
Pallet validation, yes it's glorious. Hits through pallets are still entirely possible + when I'm back from college I can get some clips as proof, but as survivor as it feels nice not being chucked because someone from Argentina VPN'd over

I find laggy killers still get the hits through stuns meanwhile if a survivor is over 80 ping, I'll hit them before they drop the pallet, they'll go to the ground/do full animation and SFX for being hit, then stand up and run off with the stun lmao so I definitely agree a lot of work needs to be done.
Hard agree.

I don’t really feel a difference personally

If they'd finetune things to NOT give palletts priority no matter what and fix the killer-sided validation not just still being active but calling various functions, maybe then it'd be good

In theory, yes. I do think making pallets more fair to both sides is a good idea.
This implementation of it however is anything but a good idea.

Honestly as killer I didn't notice any difference except those annoying fake pallet hits
As survivor I get way less wifi hits so I guess it's good

Yes! I've had a situation where I was looping a hillbilly around and around a pallet about 4 times, they swung at the pallet I think every time even though they weren't close to getting a hit on my screen. When I finally pulled the pallet down (and they were swinging again) their hit didn't count. I never would have thought they'd been hit validated if they didn't immediately DC and then rant about it.
It's hard to explain but in situations like that before pallet validation you'd know they were laggy when swinging early constantly (only exception is Spirit Fury + Enduring). So it'd be better running through the pallet since you knew if you didn't you'd be hit through it anyway. With this change, you can now pull pallets down in (somewhat) confidence against laggy killers.
I can't comment too much for the killers side of it except when I've been completing my challenges I have had a few instances of hid validation. But in all instances I've never felt that cheated.

Bad. I dont think its really fair whoever's closer wins, doesnt matter on connection or anything.
When I sit at 32ping, clearly get hits before the pallet reaches half way yet get rolled back.
It's not my fault the devs cannot program and stop huge desync. No other game has these issues to just rob you, even though on your end it's quite clear.
All in all either add more servers or remove it, kinda a joke my 32ping can lose to way higher. I'm not moving location so the game actually shows my location correctly.

It´s nice that as long as you drop a pallet 1-2 seconds before or after "being hit" it gets rejected. From a more neutral standpoint they went over the top with it though.

I think it's mostly fine but it was poorly implemented, simply due to giving the benefits to survivor while making it frustrating as a killer to be "rewarded" and have it instantly taken away, despite all indications of it being successful. Sorry, that's just lazy. I've never played any other game that did this sort of thing and honestly I think it's a little bit pathetic.
I also agree with the sentiment of others, I don't really like that it makes pallets more safe, can reward you for playing more greedy, and also buffs pallet camping, which itself is incredibly boring gameplay.

The way it was before and the way it is now are both bad. they have to fix it for both sides!
