If you look at...

Hours played, and think they mean anything, you're wrong.

Half of my 1k+ hours are Killer, roughly, and the other half obviously Survivor. The only problem with that is that I've split those hours up doing P3s, maxing some Killers over others, maxing some Survivors over others, and the rest I've only ever run for Adepts or teachables. It's nice my Hag is P350 maxed, Myers, Huntress, Spirit, are all P3 and needing maxed, but it took a damn long time to get there and to get the teachables from every other Killer along the way.

People keep saying this trash about "Why you matching me with 1k+ or 2k+ or 3k+ hour people?" when all those hours mean is that they've played the game a long time. Hours played mean nothing if the person in question mostly memes around or plays in a non-meta stye.

If you're looking for excuses as to why you got stomped, look at your gameplay. Start identifying weaknesses that you have (like an over-reliance on NOED, Ruin, BT, DH, etc etc) and fix it. It's one reason I always run whoever I am leveling, so I can try out different builds (the ones RNGesus and the Bloodweb tell me I need) and learn their Powers on the Killer side with no crutches.

You aren't going to learn anything if you're first game as X Killer you are running Ruin, Undying, BBQ, and NOED. All you're going to do is repeat the same cycle of "X Killer is weak! Buff please!" or "X Perk is OP, nerf please!"

That's why I always play a new killer or survivor as their adept and tinker with add-ons while I get to learn them. Then I'll play the hands RNGesus deals me until I can get my ideal build.
