Please Understand Tunneling.
Let me just preface this with stating that I have about 1500 hours on record and they're split aboit evenly between survivor and killer, probably slightly leaning survivor.
Now, I think there needs to be a conversation about what tunneling is and when people shouldn't be complaining about it. For example, if the killer goes and hooks a survivor and then a different survivor and then the first survivor again, that survivor was not neccesarily tunneled. My personal definiton of tunneling is purposely targeting a specific survivor everytime you the killer sees them even though they have a CLEAR and UNDERSTANDABLE target on another survivor. So if the killer finds you on the other side of the map looking for someone else after your unhook and downs you, you were NOT tunneled.
Another thing I think is very important to bring up is that if a survivor touches an objective that is considered to turn off DS or harm the killer (Pinhead's Box) you ARE fair game. If you touch a gen in front of the killer after unhook, there is no reason for the killer to leave you alone. Same thing with Pinhead's Box and other killer 'tools', if you're unhooked on the other side of the map and start solving the box, you can't reasonably expect the killer to just leave you alone. It'd be a major misplay by the killer to let you do something that benefits the whole team and harms them, so I don't consider these actions as tunneling either.
I'm hoping this starts a healthy discussion about tunneling in the community, because this is just one of the topics that people get harrassed over in EGC chat and on Twitch streams. I have seen countless times where people say awful things to others who they believed 'tunneled' and it's heartbreaking because it really shows just how shallow the community can be sometimes.
TL;DR: Tunneling is not tunneling if there are hook states between survivors or a survivor have touched an "objective" immediately after hook that detriments the killer if they don't stop the progress of said objective. Also harrasing people over a video game is gross and beyond unhealthy as a community.
