Didn't play enough of both sides to be able to compare. But from what i played, since i'm a medium level player i still swim between games that ends with no kills for killer and all gens done quickly OR the opposite i"m the only one dying because i'm the only one on gens, gens that the killer patrol since he is not chasing anyone else. Same goes for killer, it goes from i wipe them out or i struggle and get max 1 kill.

But maybe i didn't play enough for it to be settled yet ^^

I haven't played survivor yet, and I've been playing exclusively PinHead since it's come out. But I have to say that it's done well at matching my power to the teams I verse. And I say power, because as I've been prestiging I've been running different builds. And what's funny is that my strongest build was before I prestiged the first time, When I prestiged the second time I didn't get a single gen regression perk (with the exception of the built in dead lock. I'm currently on the 3rd prestige with 2 perks. And it's been interesting to watch the groups I verse get easier as I've gotten worse perks. At the same time, I have been getting better with PinHead, but it's really crazy to me just how much perks matter.

I think it was to distance them from the new system. People tend to latch onto things, and something as simple as a name change and/or visual adjustment can help to break that mental bond.

Or it could just be that someone really, really wanted to be a little more generic. Who really knows?

Overall better games for both sides for me.

There are occasional spike games that feel out of place, but they are much rarer than before.

pretty simple: this gmae is not suitable for mmr and it never will be.

Most survivors will love due to get rid of weak link which is crucial in asymetrical game, therefore survivors will stat playing with better survivors, but against only competitive killers and spirit, blight, nurse

Killers are screwed due to removing of weak link and constantly harder and harder matches. Theres no reward for increse your mmr therefore no reason to play better. Your only reward for playing better is to play against sweatier opponents which is not fun at all in game like this. Everyone knows how stresfull killer is, sadly with mmr and high mmr it will be stresfull even more.

But the worst will come up survivors but they dont see it now. Why? Playing against 2 -3 killers every match is really bad balance design, and more and more killers will stop playing or swtching sides or deranking

Honestly, no. Me and my friends have gotten pretty high MMR at this point and all the killers at that point have been doing nothing but proxy camping hooks like they're in a tournament game and it has made this game unbearably unfun.

You basically rush gens because once someone is hooked, they're going to be forced into second state or just die. Either that or the killer will ONLY target 2 people the whole match and kill them out pretty early on, which is again, a "pro" strat.

This game has become unbearable and I've played less and less already.

Survivor is absolutely hellish at night mainly due to the way killers decide to play and the builds they use, but during the day you tend to get killers a few more killers that are just vibing. I've basically just stopped playing survivor after 2pm, I can only play against Blight/Nurse/Rusty Shackles with 4 slowdown so many times before I fall asleep.

Killer got slightly harder for me, the players aren't gods, but I have seen far more exhaustion/unbreakable lately. If anything, this made my experience better. I don't get constant babies every match like the old system but I don't feel like an oppressed killer with the new one by any means. Anyone who is complaining about constant sweat squads, I don't see it on the Killer's PoV.

Tldr: I just stick with killer right now, I feel mostly in control of my experience, whereas solo survivor has become pretty much unplayable.

Absolutley not. It's just as trash as I thought it'd be when they announced it.

Haven't played much killer yet, mainly due to the queue times, and most of the people I SWF with haven't been playing recently, but my solo survivor experience has improved with SBMM for sure. Fast Queue times, competent teammates overall, and No real stomps for either side, in the games where the killer snowballs it usually is mid to late game instead of the previous 4 man slug at 5 gens. Going to start playing more killer tonight, try to grind some adepts.

    Solo Queue - Yes

    SWF - TBD

    Killer - TBD

How is your search time with other killers?

I feel your pain and I thought waiting 15 minutes plus for a wraith match was bad.

When I switched to hag it was about a 5 minute wait.

Off-mains like Nurse and Wraith were between 6 and 30 minutes. Legion was a 4 minute queue but the next game was about 25 before I gave up. New killers, or killers I rarely touch, still going above 5 minutes. I haven't had a queue time below 5 minutes yet.

Yeah was a trapper main and he gets between 15 minutes to a half hour since I switched to a barely played hag it still takes at least 7 to 10 minutes.

Evening it still takes about 5 minutes during peak times.🤨

"Bro no not at all you were just obviously bullying Babies, sure said babies ran Iron will, dead hard, BT, and Adrenaline but they were obviously new to the game Bro it's fixing it so we can have those perks every game but the players actually have basic intelligence" Aren't 4 escapes and 5 Gen stomps fun?

I don’t think a system that either makes me babysit a full team of freshly installed newbies or get my kneecaps and face broken by 8000 hour SWFs is a good system

the devs could have instead used the time to improve the old matchmaking, would have been a much better use of their time

They could have kept the old mode as casual and the new sbmm as ranked mode🤔

I'm pretty sure it's been a week at this point so...

I think it's alright. Games seem to be landing at 2ks when playing killer, with the occasional me getting destroyed or destroying all four of them.

However, the only issue I have atm is with Pinhead. I've played, how many games as him, like more than 50? I've been getting countless 4ks as him which shouldn't be happening.

Queue times are a bit longer on the killer side, but they're not bad (for me at least).

I haven't really played survivor because I've been playing killer, but I will have to give it a try.

From what others are saying, it could use a few adjustments, but that's really about it. It's difficult to create a SBMM system that works.

Absolutely no. Before the new mm I could have some chill matches, now it's a sweatfest with toxic people with meta perks in BOTH sides (killer main)

Okay so good news, I'm finding games

Bad news, I check Steam profiles to see the effectiveness and my killer games have the same people consistently and they all have at least 6k hours and it's the most miserable thing ever because I'm just over 3k.

I still believe this whole system is meant more to address the Solo Q Experience than anything else. Unfortunately, skill in this game only counts for so much when there is so much RNG involved. BNP can win a game within the first 60 seconds and god help you if you get shelter woods against a mobility killer. The only way this game remains fun for both casuals and sweats is if there are massive balance changes. Once that's done, then MMR will work. But i'm worried for the long term if nothing changes.

i played too much in rank matchmaking and it boosted my mmr too high because death squads werent common and now im paying the price </3

The worst experience I've ever had playing this game.

Facecamping every game when I play survivor, with brand new teammates vs 7k hour killer mains.

As killer, I constantly get grouped with the sweaty SWF SEAL team 6 types which used to happen maybe 1 in 15-20 games max.

I don't run sweaty builds; I play for fun and meme around. This ######### needs reverting.

It's hard to give them more data when the queues are bad...in the evenings it has gotten better around that 7 to 10 minute wait but then that is also swf time🤣
