After they fix the lobby bug if you see a legacy skin in your lobby dodge it.
Let's be honest here the only ones using legacy skins these days are specific streamers and hackers, for some reason every hacker wears a legacy skin. Well, at least the ones I am facing, though the game I just had prior did have 2 hackers in it one legacy jake and one nea who had a store outfit. At this point, if it glows I go because there is a hacker infestation and the majority of them use legacy. If you see a legacy in your game it's statistically higher odds that it is a hacker. The worst part is this new bug with the same character skins is going to make spotting them a lot harder and you will be stuck in a match with hackers that somehow can end the matches as well using the power of the entity or something.

Sorry for your bad experience with legacy players but my (as a legit legacy player myself) games againts or with these people are 99% fine. I play both sides so I sometimes play with them or againts them and I think I never had a problem with them.
So I would say it is just bad luck for you and not just a overall fact / statement of the game.

Just glowing skins? I have no idea what legacy is, but I would rather avoid le hackers.

The reason hackers wear legacy is because they can very easily edit it into their account, and it’s the only exclusive cosmetic left so most people don’t have it. Same reason they use weird old offerings you never see otherwise, they just edit them into the game. Anyone who has a legitimate old brown map offering is probably hoarding it because it’s special and you can’t get it anymore, not using it.

Legacy refers to a Prestige cosmetic variant that is only available to players who had prestiged before November 24th, 2016. It's basically the character's default outfit covered in splotches of glowing embers. They're only available on Dwight, Meg, Claudette, Jake, Nea, Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly and Nurse.
Here's an example.
They're not possible to obtain anymore, so anyone you see wearing them are either veterans or cheaters.

Skins like these are legacy skins, the hackers exploit their game to get them, you will rarely find a legitimate legacy players because they are so rare. The only people that use legacy are either hackers or players who have been playing since 2016, you cannot get legacy anymore so chances are if you see someone like that they are a hacker. I have only seen one legitimate legacy skin user, but even then it's quite easy to get legacy added to your account so I don't really trust it anymore.

The reason why I'm saying this is that I have faced 5 hackers this week using legacy and most people are seeing lots of hackers at the moment, like there ie legitimately more hackers in the game at the moment than ever. So there is a very major reason for me saying this, I'm just saying I'm quite tired of all the hackers in the game, and for as long as they don't fix it going forward I recommend people dodge lobbies with them because its more than likely a hacker.

Just check profiles, you can usually tell from there.

I see. From my experience I don't usualy see a hacker most of my matches so I am either lucky or you guys are more unlucky(?). However most of the time the hackers are killers in my matches.

You cant on console if they are a pc player.

I don't know why, but it's always when I am playing killer I get hackers, I have only seen one hacker as survivor I guess the hackers I am facing just enjoy being survivors I guess?

The first time I ever faced a legacy was a hacking Nea that tapped every gen to 100%. I've dodged legacies ever since.

I think I rememeber some survivor who managed to finish all generators in like 1 minute. And killers usualy just instadown people with 0 attack cooldowns, teleports and wallhacks.

If you're on Steam, then check their profiles. If it's a public profile, with valid achievement records you can stay if you want. If it's not a public profile, or if data like achievements is hidden, then dodge that immidiately.

I don't think I've ever seen a legacy player with a public steam profile

People like their privacy. I've got Legacy, and my profile is open, but I understand why some people's aren't. Might not even have anything to do with DBD.

I have.
